Topic says it all. Was going to go with the Al Zahbi sash method.
On average how many synths will it be? Figure in the loss/gains of NPCing or desynthing the crap too.

Will 3mil carry me from 98 to 99 cloth?

Right I'm aware of that. I am asking experienced crafters if 3mil is enough to carry.
at 98+3 everything is worse than break even. I am hoping 99+3 will make prism capes profitable... if it doesnt that is major suckage there is no point to crafting if it doesnt make money.

3M will get you 0.3 skill up. And crafting doesn't make money, so just stop while you're ahead.

one person att 99+3 said they make money off of prism capes, you are sure it doesnt make money?
crafting use to make a fuck ton of money pre wotg... im pissed off at square enix for this reason. 10million gil dumped into CC and hours of time to have an advantage
at money making over other people, gone. I want a refund.

Alchemy still makes decent money if you farm your own chips and inflate the price of silent oils to 8-10k like they are on my server. >_>

WW is a horrible craft. Bolts make no money, nor does shihie. Staves don't HQ or make profit on their supposed 25% HQ rate anyway. And Cursed gear doesn't work for any craft.
It's a player controlled economy. Thus I'll blame people who help other crafters on my server level, people who think loss on NQ is perfectly fine, and anyone who undercuts by 50%.

can't sell something for a million if only 500k exists in circulation.
players react what is givin to them, SE has a big influence in supply. If the world can only get item A once a week vs item b that can get 20 a week, item A is going to cost more assuming it has some useful utility.
SE made dragon tallons more common so iggra wisket / genie droped.
saying SE has no effect on it is ignorant.

Yes. When SE removed gil from RMTs banks they removed money that was in circulation. Sure.
I'll admit though, I liked gil buyers. They'd pay almost anything without looking at the AH. Most fun.

I'm not saying they had no affect. Lowering the price (or undercutting) because more can be crafted doesn't work for me. More mats being put on the AH tends to lower their price, logically I'd buy lower and sell higher or for the same.
Yes I expect the people producing my mats to be mindless fools and undercut like crazy. They didn't burn countless gilz on claiming/killing/whatever to ge tthat drop.

3mil will carry you, just don't be rushed and stupid about it trying to get a huge session in all at once if you're going to try to sell things off too. 99>100 is substantially cheaper now too, farm a little mats, or farm a little extra to buy specific mats and you're golden.
There's honestly no real reason to do 98>100 unless you're going for HQ Tiers on higher synthes though :/ and you're putting in a huge investment upfront for that without much return for a long time.

cant say anything about CC cause for me its at 60. for WW i dumped alot of gil into 90-97 because lancewood was 10k a pop and making primate staffs/kinkabo's were also a loss. Until staurobows became an option for me and i made roughly 500k (might be more, dident really pay attention to the price lol i was after the skill ups) going from 98-100, in total took me about 20 synths to get to 99 and 26 to get to 100.
But heres my advice to u springlove, i belive quite a few ppl will agree with me when i say this.
What works for me, might not work for u. Something i make gil on, u may not. something i skilled up on made me gil, but cost u gil. what makes me gil, will cost u gil. I'm not talking like a WW to a CC, im speeking about crafting in general. Say for instance HQ elemental staves, some ppl sware by it others curse it to the seventh layer of hell (and these are all 100+3 wood workers). Others pump out consumables day after day, while there are some that make bow's/lances'/furnishings.
What im trying to say is, along with phlow and xurion, do your own research. Come to your own conclusions about what you should do and stop asking everyone for their oppinion's for both profit and skill up synths. The information is there for you to find, especially in this forum and on wiki. You only look lazy because ud rather not take the time to actually find your own conclusions. All of the questions you have asked before ive found the answers in the stickies, or somewhere in forums/wiki.
In the end if u take someone else's advice and u fail, ud blame that person instead of admitting fault for not doing your own research. Just because John Q can hq this many of certian items dosent mean its going to be exactly the same for you. Dont just use FFXIAH.com, gather some synth lists and make comparesons to other items. See what u can farm and what u must buy off the AH and make your own decission about what would be the best route to skillup/make profit. Hell there were times i make more gil with my sub crafts then woodworking.
Now im sorry if this sounds harsh, but u sound like nothing more then a person that just PL'd their craft to 99 w/o reguards to gil or anything else. The kind of crafter that spams a particular synth, lists 7 of one item at a time then undercuts when ur shit gets sent back because all you look at when u decided to do a synth is the profit margine and u completly disreguard all other factors (ex: sale speed, time spent gathering items, number of other crafters currently making the synth to name a few). Then u list them again at a huge undercut killing the synth because all of the other ppl that make the same item decideds to jump ship and cut their losses. Any profit you would have hoped to gain is then lost all the while blaming RMT's for crashing the market and because u have no gil.

i just want my 12 ingots. they are ridiculously expensive. im doing whatever i can to get them quickly, hopefully without sacrificng sha'ir body for my bard... one would think that crafting .. putting 10mil into CC98+3 or 12-13mil into CC99+3, plus hours and hours of time, would have gave you a steady advantage over other players. but thats not the case. it really seems like HQ rates have been decreased dramatically since the preWoTG days..
