Yet another gear question for math pr0s

So, I have been away from thief forums for a while and checking some threads lately some questions poped in my mind.

I know gear is situational, depends on mob, etc but in general:

I noticed a bunch of thiefs around here WSing(DEorEvis) in love torque, aren't sea gorgets better for all WSs ? It's only for evisceration to bump the critical hit rate ?

In general do you think enkidu's hands are better than NQ hecatomb for DE/Evis ? acc+5 vs str+3

Charger Mantle vs Forager's mantle for DE/Evis ? str+3 vs attack+5 I think most of people uses forager but still noticed some uses charger. Would AF2 mantle be better than them ? I only saw 1 of those like in 3 years.

Somehow in the same line: its worth to switch fire bomblet per bomb core during WS ? acc+6 vs attack +6

Oh yeah, and the usual TH related question: can you change hands once you have hit mob once for TH4 to DD ones ? I think someone some time tried to test TH but results weren't conclusive. Any news regarding this ?

Personally the most surprising has been finding now a days people uses evisceration as end game WS instead of DE with a dex/critical hit based setups, never really worked good for me. Maybe because I'm elvaan without dex merits nor critical hit rate%, I'll check it out again though. I mainly use thf on salvage and dex-234324 stat won't help probably though.

Please try to keep it objetive and based on maths if possible, thanks in advance.

<3 torque vs gorget is kinda a wash since the DEX adds a bonus to Sneak Attack, aswell as WS mod and acc/atk

Enkidu hands for multihit

Cuch mantle > both in many situations

bomblet for Multihit, core for SB/Stab

Use DD stuff then swap to TH stuff on last few%

I prefer my Heca +1 Hands for multi-hit.

I don't really see many misses on Evis, so I don't like wasting the str/drx for Enkidu's Mittens.

Gorget on Ws's is the norm though, can't beat their Damage boost and Accuracy boost combined.

Everyone states something different so far xD

And yes, heca+1 is great, but I was talking of NQ D:

Because as someone pointed out to me yesterday, no two thieves look the same. Unless they are past decisions like this.

Love torque vs gorget. Long time ago it was thought gorget. Then testing by Nagamaki and co. came out on BG and people became skeptical that gorget gave acc to all hits, so Love became the best. After numerous attempts by several people to do testing, finally a JP came up with something that seemed to convince a lot of people on BG that the acc did indeed apply to all hits. Idk if they came up with a value with how much acc it added, but if they could figure out that it did apply acc to all hits, they should have some sort of number. I'd fish up on bg for the real answer to this. Personally I use Love for evisceration partly because it increases crit rate as well, and because I'm skeptical of the aforementioned gorget testing. For SB gorget was pretty much better anyway I believe, especially if you're not using martial knife (does anyone use that anymore?). For mercy I use justice which is close enough to gorget really.

Enkidu hands vs heca nq. Prolly enkidu. Though back in the day when I used DE a lot and when food was limited to pretty much Sole Sushi vs Coeurl Sub, I had different sets for both foods. If you do that you could end up getting use out of both pieces.

Forager is pretty much better for TP. I used charger a lot though since I bought it before I really knew any better. Charger is debatably better for sa/ta. For ws hmm... I'm tempted to say charger though I never really thought about it too much. It's hard to say, as they're rather close. For SB/mandalic I'd say definitely charger. multi-hit idk so much.

Bomblet vs core. Bomblet absolutely for multihit. Core for mercy/mandalic/sb. This basically goes along the mantra that for unstacked multihit, a non WSC stat you'd choose when you melee should be what you use for the WS. So if you use a sniper's ring over a 3str ring for melee, you should probably do the same for WS if you need the acc. Same thing here in bomblet vs core.

I don't believe anyone actually went out to try and test this. But everyone wants to know. I don't think anyone will know since, regardless of the pieces of SE commentaries we can put together, there was no comment on this specific subject. And as we do not have access to the game code to examine this issue, it could go either way. The only way to get around this is to do samples (in this case, likely in the thousands and thousands) of parallel drop rates in order to get an answer within a decent margin of error.

DE vs EV, look at Treelo's threads here or Melphina's on Allah'. Still a subject of debate imo.

Thank You Shamaya. That was what I was looking for, even if the answers weren't 100% yes or not.
