Windower on Vista x64

I just downloaded Azuria's Windower, but I can't get it to load from POL into FFXI without crashing. The website mentioned a different launcher_gui that fixes it, but the link is dead (and I'm guessing has been so for a long time). Is there a fix to this? and if anyone has that file and it works, would they be willing to email me? Thanks.

Did you try running as administrator?

I saw that mentioned on the site too, but that option was grayed out (probably because I turned off the vista confirmation feature).

Try right clicking Windower.exe, there should still be a "Run as Administrator" option if your account type is Admin.

I have a different question, and having this thread appear is actually rather convenient... Whenever I shutdown, I get the "This program has stopped working properly, blah blah blah", so it never shuts down properly. Any ideas? Or is it nothing to worry about?

I think that's a glitch with the current Windower version, Armek. Try getting the updated beta hook file on www.windower.net.

The Beta version indeed fixes this issue. Thanks for the help. As for Armek's question, I've had a similar issue running version 3.4.1 on vista 32. By unloading all of my plugins before shutdown, it's stopped being an issue (in command prompt, just typing "unloadall" sans ""). I'm pretty sure its only 1 or 2 of the plugins that are causing the issue, but its just as easy to close them all as to close one when I shutdown.

I haven't tried this in the 3.4.2 beta yet, so I'm not sure whether it fixes the problem or not.

I'll give that a shot and see if it works (unloading the plugins before I shutdown), thanks for the quick answers!
