I dunno if I'm impressed at the augment or amazed at how crazy you were risking a ~1.5M item >.>

There really isn't any "risk".

You know for certain that it will be made EX, so you've already committed to losing 1.5m in item value. That's not a risk, that's a fact. The only stat that matters on Hermes is Movement+12%, and I don't think any -Movement augments even exist. So any +stat you get on Hermes is pure gravy.

If you buy an item and never plan to resell it, it's market value is completely irrelevant, anyway. Hermes' sandals are an item you'll always want to keep, once you have a pair.

...as long as you are 100% certain that you have no interest whatsoever in doing sky or Salvage and never, ever will.

Otherwise, Hermes' Sandals are far from permanent. They are a temporary holdover while you are waiting for a better replacement.

True, but sometimes you can get screwed over on Augments. Lets say for example he got - AGI or - MAB on the boots. (While I haven't seen any - MAB on any augments I'm not ready to rule it out)

SE stated back when augmenting was introduced that the rarer the item the better the chances of a good augment occuring.
From my experience with Augmenting items, and i do it most every day. bit addicted tongue.gif
I feel its not the rarity of the items themselves but the amount actually used in the augmenting system.

for example say only 1 Hagun was augmented in Ru'aun gardens last week, chances are the first Hagun this week is gonna get something nice.
But when people spam Elemental stave's, weskits and Warwolf belts they almost always turn out as pure crap.

these are just my experiences with it, nothing official proven.

But that's the point... you don't wear Hermes' for MAB or AGI (since they have none to begin with). You wear them for +Movement, and that's not going to change.

While skadi feet can replace them, yes.. w.legs cannot for a Cor who solos a lot via quick draw.

I had w.legs and h.sandals both because it was more damage output to use denali legs + h.sandals over w.legs + blood greaves.

Not arguing, of course.. hehe.. just staying that doing sky shouldn't replace them! tongue.gif Just salvage!
