But on the other side, this is a common thing in all MMO's, this is just FFXI's way of doing it.

"Eliteness" does kinda suck, and really pulls the asshole out in people. I had a friend that let "Eliteness" get to her and she would get real mean when it did. Some of you people don't understand that it's just a game and go all out and play all damn day. You think "Oh I'm a vet so I'm automatically better than everyone else". All I can say is go fuck yourself.

Also RMT has come back and SE doesn't seem to care even after they went on a hellish campaign against it, it's quite sad. The Free Trial needs to be fixed and needs limitations or we are gonna have a crappy economy again. I can't say FFXI is a huge mess though. It's still a great game and I still play it about everyday. It's a lot better now than it was a few years ago. Some people may say "Oh it's easier now that makes it dumb" but I say "Hey at least more people can actually enjoy later content of FFXI like CoP missions and endgame" (only some of endgame is actually enjoyable). Also PuP is not a bad job we had one in our Dynamis shell. I dunno what happen to him but he wasn't bad. The game needs a little work but I'm sure when SE releases it's final expansion it will have all the kinks out and FFXI will be everlasting.

P.S.
A reduction in price after FFXIV comes out would be frickin' sweet. $6.99 a month would keep me playing for awhile.

This is why I like having friends who play or have played Final Fantasy XI (and, for that matter, World of Warcraft, Warhammer: Age of Reckoning, Diablo II, and any of hundreds of various offline games). When I get irritated with the game or some aspect of it, I can quit and talk to them about it. This sort of post, and someone makes a new one of these at least once a month among the major forums (about twice weekly for WoW, but they have more players), is basically just someone needing to vent but, instead of being a normal person and talking to their friends or writing about it in their diary, they decide to come to a public place and piss on everyone else's parade by insisting that their little drama matters.

Please understand this: we who frequent this forum still like FFXI. We're also probably a great deal more aware of its flaws than you are (your point regarding Tachi weaponskills was so painfully inaccurate that its actually kind of ironic considering it concerns their accuracy). You don't want to play anymore, that's fine. Go play baseball. I promise, you'll get tired of the irritating things in that game, too. That's life: you do something and, in most cases, you get bored of it after a while and move onto something else.

Maybe when your balls drop and you can imitate an adult, you'll recognize that childish little demands for attention like this should be abandoned in favor of more meaningful and sensible reactions. This is a video game and you're on a forum devoted to it; that you expect anything other than to be disregarded is a sign of delusional behavior. Please get a grip on reality, to use your own words.

Got a chance to read it all before I feel asleep again, All it did was bring be back when FFXI was at its peak in
popularity. I Ran into alot of drama like that in the past before the changes were done.
Alexander has only so much drama when it comes to this, all the vets we had are pretty much gone
or went to a different server, if not just playing different toons and just pretty stay out of the drama crap.

Gill buying will always be there someone buys it some dont give a rats butt.
The eliters and Epeens are kind of low in my server, bet you more than enough they all went
to World of warcraft and grow it more there. who knows.
Stuff like this happens and some of it becomes just memories of the "Golden times".
I'm bored I'm gonna go find a Gillseller and spam his butt for a while.
