Things you do NOT want to see In FF14

1) I do NOT want to see ANY pvp, ff is not about pvp, if ppl want it so bad, go to another game!!
imo pvpers are anger issue pre-puberty kids that need to go to school.(or adults with about as much thought processes as children)
when you pass puberty and mature then sign up for ff.
none, notta..not a hint of pvp in ff14. if they must add any for the 1% of children, then stick with arena type pvp , keep them locked away far from any normal people.
i want ppl with grey matter in there not the misfits.
2) would love to have chat filter to block out other languages and see only your chosen language.

Losing xp upon death. Worst. Game. Mechanic. EVAR.
This has made me so angry so many times - I was punished for being excited and trying to explore new zones

Fatigue system they want to add, nuff said.
Could be worse, could lose half your money, some of your inventory, etc.

Capes.
Capes looked pretty good in White Knight Chronicles. So I'm actually hoping they have a few variety of capes to wear.

Wrong. Ballista was the Best part of FFXI. Brenner was okay, was a nice added area to play on if Ghelsba was taken. Pankration sucked donkey balls, but made nice profit when it first came out.

7. NPC's with insanely over-priced items. I understand the desire to create a player-driven economy, but why even bother having npc's selling low lvl weapons for freaking 80k or some such crap in that case? Nobody is going to buy them from the npc for 80k when you can get them for 8k on the AH. Potions in this game have always been such a joke- npc sells them for how much and they heal how much hp? Why even bother putting them in? Tease us? Is that it? "Hey, remember when these items were useful and didn't cost you your left testicle for no real benefit?" There ARE some things npc's sell that are useful and not expensive- just that many items are not only massively over-priced (especially considering that when the game was new many people had never even seen a million gil, or even 100k, and now that's chump change, but the npc's prices were already retarded high back then), but in many cases useless compared to synth items on the AH.
I was pretty wtf at the Potion deal too. Especially after beating Final Fantasy X-2, where I only used Melee Jobs, and my MAIN source of Healing Yuna, Riku, and Paine was using Potions. Never used White Mage or any healing Jobs in Final Fantasy X-2.
I don't want the horrible crap treasure pool system they had in Final Fantasy XI. That type of system allows too much control to certain people while the rest are at risk of getting screwed over. I would much prefer the Monster Hunter or White Knight Chronicles drop system. It is completely fair, everybody getting their own fair chance of drops.
Camping NMs is nice and all... no, it's not. I would prefer having Quests, aka the BCNM, ENM, ZNM, and what not. But instead of just being in a small area, the quest actually takes place in an entire zone, or several zones, kind of like Monster Hunter, I guess? The zone thing is a nice idea, but I'm mainly for the major NMs being in Quests and whatnot. If them being a Quest is too easy, that's why I suggested the zone idea.

If you don't want to see PvP, then stay out of it, simple as that. PvP is a great aspect of any game, because there will always be competition. And what better way to do competition than to test your character build against another player?
What? You want to fight against a CPU who doesn't know how to defend himself? Do you have a hard time adapting to something that can adapt to you? TOUGH! PvP is no place for "pre-puberty kids". They'll get destroyed.
You underestimate "Adults" who participate in PvP. If anything, they have some of the best thought processes, which is required in PvP, or else you'll end up like those "pre-puberty kids" you seem so fond of.
If the people of FF want PvP, give it to them.
Really hoping to look forward to PvP in FF14 someday, and a lot more areas for it, especially in areas where players often pass by to help encourage others to participate in this incredibly fun activity.

People screaming for pvp in FF are a vocal minority. Most people won't pvp. It's the same as WoW, despite all the people bitching about pvp stuff, it is just a vocal minority. Most people don't pvp, which is why the game is mostly pve, because it's mostly what people want. Also there's plenty of competiton without killing each other, from camping a giant dragon to having the most progressed guild/LS compared to another.

competing with camping is the stupidest idea, that isn't fulfilling in the least bit. How can you even try to compare that?
PvE isn't what mostly people what, it's what they're forced on from how the game is built. What the game gives you for participating in PvE. I bet people wouldn't mind killing each other if they got something out of it like they would with PvE.

Beggers, spammers, gil-farmers, power level onry plz...............
THIS.
Those spammers friggin bring out the beast in me. Yet, they still exist and they will continue doing so if we just let them. Yeah, let them run around and ruin our gaming. The only reason why they haven't been wiped off the face of the earth is that some people still fall prey to their tactics. Please, everyone should stop buying gil from these guys, or bots...as I suspect they are. I mean, I understand the need to buy gil (I do it too, ocassionally) but we should be selective of who we're dealing with. I know of some companies that are legit gil sellers, not spammers. So yeah, there are alternative methods to acquiring gil...off the top of my head, IGE is the one with the best services. No tricks and shticks here, just good ole gil. Any other alternatives in mind for those of you who feel the same as I do?

I love how people are saying that most people would welcome PvP. I guess I'm not most people because I can't stand the idea, and I've played my fair share (read: too many) of games that had PvP. Nothing makes you want to play a game than getting shanked on your way to the bank after a long hour of killing slimes and rabbits for their loot, watching painfully as said loot pops out your arse like a bad case of the runs then having said loot be kyped by the arse that shanked you in the first place... oh so much fun. Oh, shank him back you say? Brilliant! Then he kills you again because it turns out he was a full 40 levels higher than you packing gear bought with the loot of the previous 100 players he shanked that day. Oh, yes, so much fun. By the way, that is not being melodramatic. Check out such wonderful games as Conquer, Graal and Tibia. Yes, that is exactly how those games hand PvP (Conquer you drop all your money, Graal you drop all your money and ammo items and Tibia you drop your backpack which could well be holding everything you have).
I have no doubt other games use similar systems from PvP and player deaths. No, PvP is never fun, it never solves anything and only serves to perpetuate the problems it supposedly solves. Sure, at high levels you probably get to see what the developers intended with the PvP, but that's assuming it hasn't driven you off before then (like Conquer, Graal and Tibia did me). "Oh, they could just make areas for PvP, that'd be cool." What do you think Ballista, Brenner and Pankration were? They were separate areas devoted to FFXI's PvP (well, not so much with Ballista, that was more using existing areas by giving participants a unique status effect to prevent them from affecting the game world proper). I think Square had the right idea on the notion of PvP by making it a special event instead of a static game element like it is in those MMOs that use PvP as a game feature. And hopefully it stays that way in FFXIV.
