Yes, easy for MNK to know when all 8 hits land. Just look at TP return, if you get 16 TP back with Rajas on, and no other sTP, then you landed all 8 hits. And if /echo <pettp> works for avatars, then you just do that after the rush to see the TP return.

you should have a greater then 33 : 17 thats just about a 2 : 1 where 7 : 18 is about the odds of 7
so at any give time your much more likely(about 5 times) to hit 8 then 7, IFF you have max acc.
so i guess the math is on your side, /clap

but basically Rush will fair worse than Asurans fist if it misses 2 hits because the 2 hits make up for more of the total damage of the BP than each fist in Asurans does..
correct me if im wrong, but Multi-hit WS only have mods applied to the first hit, and given that the first hit is always capped at 95% acc, you'll likely gain the most from that hit, with each subsequent hit adding some damage that adds up.
but with BPs, they don't come with mods, (even if they did, hell would we know..? and hell would we be able to efficiently pump stats, if at all) and there is technically no way of knowing which hit is contributing to the most damage..
its possible to assume all hits are meant to be of 'equal' power, or the exact opposite.. but either way, comparing the damage loss between Rush and Asuran Fist is imbalanced..
If anything, Rush vs Raging Fists.. and I think RF would still fair better if it missed 2 hits.

i dont know that we are comparing "damage loss between Rush and Asuran Fist" i guess i just got OT doing the math on the likeness of a mnk hitting all 8,
its my understanding that with Mult- hit weapon skills every hit after the first the fTP goes to 1,0, so with Dancing Edge your first hit will be stronger then the 4 after it but with Guillotine your first swing is weaker
From what i have seen, your more likely to hit the 3 swings with PC then 4 with rush when you fighting big fights, now if you only use your smn to fight weaker mobs where your avatar might have max acc or (close to cap) then rush for tp gain might be better, other wise your probly getting the same as garuda but doing less Damage. if any one could give me the acc differences between shiva and garuda i can find some number if i have free time but seeing as we just dont know what it is, it probly best to go with what we have seen.
on a side note when you guys go to end game event how do you have the time to gain tp with your avatars? with having to ward rage back up heal dispel/erase and rest where do you find 45sec-1min to stand there and let you avatar swing?

ill have to agree on that one.. with capped accuracy, Shiva does win out.. and on anything significantly weaker than you as well. if it happens to be weak to blunt, all the better.. personally I prefer Ramuh tho..
in fact, for 70BPs, my BPs of choice are usually Predator Claws, Shock Strike, and Flaming Crush. Merit BPs would be Thunderstorm > the rest, since I merited that fully.
...on the point about end-game.. I've not brought my SMN to end-game in a while but if I do it is usually limited to certain events like...
-some limbus runs that require carby pulls.
-Fafnir/Nidhogg
-Tiamat
-Cerberus
-Khimaira
limbus is fine i suppose but theres never any time, nor is it actually appropriate to leave avatars out to melee during HNMs. you will however, find extended utility in doing this during campaign, where leaving avatars out to melee (and master meleeing alongside) tends to be the best course of action.
also if you happen to be in a pet-based LS, then you'd be lucky because pretty much everything will prefer you to leave avatars out. if not, then I guess the time of leaving avatars out is yet to come
