hi all ^,^. wanted to know if anyone has tested Fan Dance, to see if it stacks with any of the "Physical damage taken -%" equipment or if its 2 different effects ie;
DNC doing Fan Dance w/ Jelly Ring + Patronus Ring in Campaign, how would the damage work for the first hit?
would it stack like this
Damage - [(90%+5%+10%) Damage ], or 0% first hirt 5% the second 15% the 3rd ect ect
or would the equipment take effect after FD (or vies versa)
[damage - (90%*damage)] - {(5%+10%)[damage - (90%*damage)]} or 8.5% damage first hit 17% the second 25.5% the 3rd
dose any one know?

I would imagine that any -% damage gear would be always in effect. So for example if you had +5% in gear and fan dance was at 90% then fan dance would be reduced at it's normal rate yet you would still get the -5% from gear every hit.
I'm pretty sure it's the same with saber dance decay and any DA gear you have. So would imagine that fan dance would work the same way.

He's asking if the equipment stacks with the ability, and how.
If it's all combined to start you off at 105% but reads as zero damage (cause we can't have negative 5 percent curing you for free); OR
If it calculates the equipment AFTER the Fan Dance which works as 15% away from the remaining damage.
Well there's a super easy way to test that. Just put on more than -10% of gear, Activate Fan Dance and letting a monster take a few swings at you. If the first swing hits for zero, it either works or the monster is too weak to have dealt damage in the first place. If it does damage at all, on the first hit, well there's your answer, cause it didn't negate 100% damage.
If you can't get either ring, there's something called an Earth Staff. Relatively cheap to get and easy to sell back. negates 20 percent of physical damage and you don't have to bleed some NM to get it.
