Hey! Haven't played FFXI in about 3 years, but looking to maybe come back. I've leveled warrior/samurai/paladin/darkknight/thief to 75, and almost had dragoon there too before I quit. Dragoon was my favorite class, and if I come back thats probably going to be my first job to 75 on a new character.

Dragoons used to get a lot of shit from people saying they were "weak". Do people still feel this way? Since WotG has come out, have dragoons been nerfed more, or buffed up?

All 2 hand weapon are be buffed.
if you wear a 2 hand weapons :
4 STR = 3 attack
4 DEX = 3 acc .

call Wyvern are now a 20 min ability .

Spirit Surge is our new 2hours , we absorb our wyvern : gain TP of wyvern, more HP, more str, some haste , jump do a def down, high jump TP down, super jump hate loss to the nearest party member .

DRG get Accuracy bonus II at 50 .

Merit group 2 ( 10 upgrade only ):
Angon, 3 min recast ability, duration 45 to 1.30 min , use item for use. -20% def to mobs.
Deep breathing , do breath x2 ( healling or dommage) , 20 to 5 min recast .
Empathy Copy buff to your wyvern ( 1 to 5 )
Strafe add accuracy to wyvern breath .

DRG was a powerful job, he was always but now more and it's one on the most job asked for merit party in TOAU.
He's needed for end game with angon. ( i have WHM and LS ask me come DRG ).

Drgs fucking rock always have always will but now the main prob especially in ToAU is we rock so hard that we usually end up taking the brunt of the dmg due to Acc. Bonus and Piercing Bonus however this is easily overcome by a skilled Drg player who knows how to use Jumps to control your hate so you better brush up if you do decide to come back.

And also poster above me forgot our new PWN Weapon Skill Drakesbane comes from Nyzul Isle.
