I would agree with Sakka_Valefor.
I actually did a solo version of what he did. Just went as thf/whm and pulled gobs one at a time, cured myself til out of MP then hide and wait a few minutes then repeat. It's not the fastest thing, but it's very safe, effective, and at 75 it's not out of the question to get a nice amount of gold beast coins for your trouble.
Evasion, AGI, Etc.

Pull aggro in a merit party and collect skillups as the Greater Colibri beats on you.
Oh, wait, you're a Thief. Well, maybe saccing Dynamis a few times will do it.

You say it like it's a hard thing to do. Even if you aren't a complete badass like myself, Collaborator will help.

It was a joke, but only about half a joke. With one exception, every Thief I've had in my parties while leveling up Ninja has been sporting at least three pieces of AF full-time.

I know it was a joke, but there are people who don't. Besides, I'd fucking love for some random THF to come in here and be all like "I TRIED YOUR STUPID IDEA, PECKING FLURRY RAPED MY FACE YOU BASTARDS!"

If pecking flurry is a problem for someone meriting on THF, they should drop their AF legs and quit the job immediately.

I'll have to try some of these out. Thanks for the info.
I actually got some skill in beseiged. Cyclone a bunch of mobs and pop fanatics. Got about 9 levels in two beseigeds. Slow, but it was safe enough.
Gulfulger the menacing or whatever was particularly kind giving me skill.
Still new to being 75 so appreciate the suggestions. Don't want to waste any exp cause I mainly leveled thf for my dynamis shell (TH, no puller), hence why I inquired.

You can get a lot more than 9 levels if you repeat that process 15 times by simple setting your home point in Whitegate. I've been skilling my evasion the last 3 days and I've gone from 240 > 273 using 3 besieged (2 and a half really cause I missed half of one).
What I do is....
Giant's Drink > Hi-Elixer > Daladeus(sp?) Wing > Engage a mob in the clusted > Fanatic's Drink > Cyclone
Then I enjoy the skill ups....
Fanatic's wears > Mega-Elixer (when I get to about 50% hp) > Get beaten to death > Homepoint > Repeat process
Obviously if any general are dead and you're missing some med's then you can't do the process exactly as I mentioned, but out of everything I've seen this method that I made up for myself is the best and fastest way to skill evasion for Thief.

This is how I capped mine. Between spike damage weapon skills and jacking hate from mages with Collaborator you'll get a few shots thrown at you. I got my last 2.6 skill saccing an area in Dynamis - Buburimu. Prior to that I just got what skill I could capping Marksmanship and duoing random crap with my BLM friend.
Out of curiosity (because I never noticed,) can your evasion skill rise during Perfect Dodge? I popped it so many times doing sac pulls in Dynamis I never noticed if I got skill-ups during the duration.

Pretty sure you can't. I believe you have to get hit for your evasion skill to rise. I know the first few times I tried to skill up in beseiged I would hit perfect dodge (at the beginning of beseiged) and run into the area where the NM's are entering the city. Then I would make them all group on me and they would swing away and I wouldn't get a single skill up at all. But after Perfect Dodge wore and they started hitting me for 0 (with franatic's on) then the skill ups would come like crazy.

Afaik you do not need to get hit to skill up evasion, it's been literally forever since I had to skill it up, probably 3+ years, but that's what I recall.
As an alternative, you guys could just like, try soloing stuff that's difficult. I got all my skillups the natural way; being good at the job. =P

You can get a skill up from a standard evade (had to cap Evasion on Ninja last week, so I'm certain on this), but what is being said is that it probably doesn't work under the effects of Perfect Dodge, which is not strictly an Evasion Boost as a special form of invulnerability.

Pretty close to what I did as nin. But I did more drop over the wall at the very beginning of the fight when they're all still pouring in through the main entrances. Stand on little drawbridge. Enjoy.

That'd make sense, my evasion was capped at 220~230 or something from other jobs leveled about 5 years ago, so I was basing what I said from my experience with Perfect Dodge only. I did 230>276 using the method that I mentioned which only took a few days so... yeah

I capped mine pulling hate on Gomory in dynamis-xarcabard. When I got 75 back in the day I was about 266, with lvl sync I find all sorts of people upcapped on skills when they ding 75 the first time.
