Right, so not being the biggest techie I'm running into a problem.
I live in a student house, and we all share the same router/wireless internet. The router is DI-524 (D-Link).
So, one of my roomies set it up to use WPA protection. To be able to connect you need to enter a preshare key.
The problem is, I want to connect wirelessly with my DS, but this is not possible via WPA. I have finally figured out how to change it to WEP, and tested the connection via the DS, and it worked.
However I am wondering if this will somehow interfere with my roomies/housemates' ability to connect to the internet?
Because it used WPA before, they needed to enter the preshare key (password) to connect to the net, I'm just wondering if changing this all to WEP will mess things up before I go through with it.
Cheers anyone that can help :D

edit: wah, typos.

as long as they know how to switch the wireless settings to WEP access over WPA and they have the WEP key everything should be fine. good for you for switching it to WEP
