Yeah obviously. A state, where you can vote a law to teach creationist thesis at school, is clearly a winnaaar.

The establishment Clause states that ""Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion" This doesn't establish a national religion. It just opens the door for theology to be taught in public curricula. Though I disagree with it being taught in a science class alongside evolution, if the taxpayers want it, it could be an elective.

We have chaplains in the military, and Congress.

We owned them on teenage pregnancy though, suck on that Fritz.

They went around shooting brown people, yelling about god, queen and country, and deporting their criminals for quite a long time.

Hey, let's not make this about race. Any spear chucking native was a viable target, regardless of skin colour.

If oil was the only thing we had, why aren't other states with larger oil reserves kicking our collective asses? Or, fuck, countries for that matter.

When you also have the second largest populated state in the US, it's not too hard to come to this conclusion.

But do continue, you're just proving at least my belief that Texans have their heads so far up their own asses that seeing an entire picture is impossible. If you're going to stand by "OMGZ WE MAKE MOAR MONEY, WE WINS!" then go right ahead. I guess it's impossible to argue with someone with Autism.

Oh, and just to add some more gas to the fire... I'm happy that texas as a whole came together and managed to make more than any other state.

On the other hand, it was probably about 20-100 people who did all that money making, whereas the other 99% are on welfare. http://en.wikipedia....tates_by_income

My shitty little state (Washington) is 10th, whereas your beloved Texas is 28th. Enjoy your food stamps! (Yes, it's from 2007, but I could imagine the trend won't change due to it not having wavered much since the 90's.)

Alaska has larger oil reserves AND a smaller population.

Texas also has the second lowest cost of living, washington is second highest only to California.

You still lose with per capita income because yours buys less.

wat... ಠ_ಠ

What does average income per household have anything to do with welfare? If anything, unemployment rate would have a more direct relationship with welfare. LET'S TAKE A LOOK AT THAT.

http://www.bls.gov/web/laumstrk.htm
Ranked #19, not incredibly good, but we're doing better than the average.

And considering that Texas is one of the most populated states (http://www.census.go...psize-2008.html) as well as one of the fastest growing states (http://www.census.go...-2007-2008.html), it isn't hard to believe that the median income is lower while still maintaining the highest productivity. I love it when someone points their fingers at the DIRTY CORPORATIONS taking advantage of their employees.

And yes, as Cruz stated, lower cost of living her Cpt. Douche-bag. How much you say? Well, I just went out to one of the many COL adjustment calculators on the net to get an idea:

Sucka!

And HAWHAW for nothing changing from 2007 to 2009. Since you seem to be a bit slow, let me go ahead and give you an illustration on that.

You realize why the cost of living's higher right? It's a better place to live. Our minimum wage is also $1.30/hr more than yours. Not quite as hard to survive here as you might think. Besides, you picked one of the most expensive places in the state to live... It doesn't cost me NEARLY that much. Hell, my rent is $820/mo for a fairly nice place. I live in Olympia for reference. Not to mention my yearly income is just shy of $40k, and I have no car payments and no debt. Life is easy if you get those out of the way.

In any case, I have nothing against you... Just the general population of where you live. I can't stand the arrogance that emanates from Texans, and the way you're carrying yourself here is not disproving anything.

Seattle is filled with fart-sniffing self important cunts, sort of like you.

At least in Northern Virginia/D.C. the self-important cunts are at least in all actuality somewhat important.

But hell since we're into stats in this thread...

http://www.statemast...-educated-index

Virginia #7

Texas #22

Washington #30

Oh fuck, you lose again!

Fuck sake, SOUTH CAROLINA beat Washington.

I was talking in specific to you, since you seem to have the mental capacity of a cashew, but I highly doubt that study is accurate. Besides, that's high school related. You can't possibly believe that school rankings mean anything here. There is a baseline requirement that all schools have to follow, but when certain schools follow a little more closely to the basics, those students are going to do better on an average than the others. Not making excuses, because there's complete idiots everywhere. However, in my experience, everyone I've met from Texas is exactly like you and the OP. Extremely thick-headed, and unable to understand that there's a picture around the specific topic they're staring at intensely, and anyone who thinks otherwise is retarded.

I'm not going to argue with the obviously ignorant people in this thread anymore, and thank you for giving me another reason to dislike Texas other than our former President.

Yes of course, statistics are meaningless.

Everyone is stupid but you.. Etc. Etc. It's not like I expected anything different out of you.

You have yet to present any sort of coherent argument and spout anecdotal bullshit and meaningless platitudes as if they mean anything. While calling us "Obviously Ignorant".

Is this getting though to you? We're presenting strong arguments and you're talking out of your undereducated ass?

Is it hard to be that oblivious?

And again we revisit this very simple joke: Fat slobs are kicking your ass at making money.

See, the whole "name calling" thing doesn't work. Because I have provided facts in which we are better than you. So, hi. Fat slobs all up in yo shit. Bitch.

By the way, this is the third time I've explained this joke/concept - Who posted the "Texans are retarded" link? Yeah..... Thought so.....

Right....
After you said New Yorkers are "arrogant as fuck (and, realistically, dumber than fuck)," then you bashed California for "too many things to list," followed by saying that Michigan is draining us with "shitty unions."

So if the name-calling thing apparently doesn't work, why did you start your post with it?

You started your post by calling New Yorkers arrogant, which is untrue of New Yorkers as a whole (believe me, I know there are douche-bags in New York, but it's not the whole fucking population), which makes it clear that you probably have never been to New York, or even known anybody from New York.

Let me break it down for you:
You accuse the people of this board of being grandiose and having prejudice opinions and misconceptions towards Texans.
....
So you make a post stating you're "better" than the rest of the union simply because of ONE statistic and proceed to bash specific states (New York in particular) based on a prejudice opinion and misconception.

Seem a little hypocritical to you?
