I've been playing Contact recently and it's been absolutely addictive. I'm not sure it's something you'd want to play between tech support calls, but it's a good game. I have nothing but praise for it.

Nostalgia looks like a decent Time waster. Last i remember the DS Castlevania titles fell under the Action/RPG category, no?

Nostalgia is ok if you are into classical type RPG's.

Phantasy Star Zero came out recently, I have a love-hate relationship with it.

I love that it goes straight back to how Phantasy Star Online played, also love that it's storyline progression is like of the classic Phantasy Star series, also some new weapons like the gunblade is a blast.

What I don't like about it is that you need to take quite a bit of time to grind yourself before you take on a boss. On the first boss I got completly ripped apart and the NPC that was supposed to help me got killed in 2 hits. Also it's character custimization system is awful, but in all fairness, can only fit a certain extent into a DS cartridge. Still pissed that if you want to be a HUmar, you got to look like a kid that pedophiles get off to. Personally went with RAmar for the gunblades.

Phantasy Star Zero is a pretty good game if your a PSO fan and don't mind a time consumer game.

So my recomendations for good currently released DS RPG's would be

Nostalgia (For those into classic style, turn based RPG's)
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 (Good for those who love the series)
Phantasy Star Zero (For those looking for a time consumer)

Also lets not forget the new Zelda coming out early next month and Dragon Quest 9 coming early 2010.

It presents itself well, has about as much content as the original PSO, its story is presented like the classic Phantasy Star games, and some cool, new weapons. Music is ok, but have to remember it is on the DS.

This game was made for people not into the PSU series and want a taste of the classic style gameplay of PSO. Thing that only really pisses me off is the design of the characters, but that all falls onto opinion on that one.
