I started as a Royal and after several attempts at 1-1, I started using Soul Arrow over anything else. Almost done with the first area I think...

I started as a Hunter, tried a few other classes, then ended up back on Hunter.

After having died 30 or so times going through 1-1, I went through it without a single death when I started over with my hunter. 1-2 is pretty annoying, lol.

Well... I found my way to the flame boss and couldn't get out so i had to fight him...
goodbye 8,000 souls. ; ; that guy raped my face so fast.

Just defeated Phalanx. Extremely easy boss fight, I expected a lot more.

have been pretty tough.

20ish Knight. Fun game, but having a hard time finding the zomg leet gears. been doing a bit of pvp as a black phantom for the sake of: so I know how to fight them off.

What about the rest of you? I'm finding myself passing up every armor drop I get because my initial equipment is better... it CANT stay that way. What did yall do?

God I hate invaders... actually armor really isn't important as you shouldn't be getting hit in the first place.
All you need is a few/all good weapons and a good upgraded shield.
Armor i have used in order starting, gloom and then dark silver.
Get 40 endurance asap. I'm 194 with 1.6m souls gonna wait till 4-5m to lvl up some more.

Had a strange instance about 2 days ago.

Was a phantom, so i threw up my soul sign for the sake of maybe running through the prison level w/o too much difficulty. A little ways into my farming run while waiting to be picked up, I get summoned by some old skeleton looking guy. Next thing I know I'm a black phantom w/ some big ass robe on my head... (this was before I even picked up a black eye stone.) Sure enough, some player shows up and we start to duel. The robe thing on my head starts shooting little energy balls, but moral of the story is: wtf happened? I get possessed by the boss or what?
(ps I won. 2 back stabs back to back ends you pretty quick.)

That's Old Monk boss fight when you join someones game as a phantom there is random chance he will summon you to fight
a player character who has just entered boss area. Yeah I've been summoned twice, first time i DC'ed second time I killed the poor guy
and got my towl hat :3 Oddly enough I'm killing Maneater the boss right before old monk. A word of advice after you kill Maneater Monk is next
so log out of PSN and play off line to fight the boss. It will be an NPC instead of a player and it is a lot easier.
Here's me slowly but surely poisoning the second Maneater to death.
