So far we have five melee jobs that have been announced. I doubt that we'll see anymore added untill after the game has been out for a few.
So... what melee job will you play?

For now I'm headed the route of Marauder, I hope they add more however. I'd like to see some in depth explanation of what weapons Marauder will have access to before I decide completely.

I'm waiting to see if they announce any pet jobs (PUP type, purizu?), but Archer is looking fun.

All of them at some point. Heck I might even make myself a kabob or repair a weapon. Maybe if I'm lucky they'll make it so I'm able to play all the different classes and do all the different crafts if I so choose. If only...

they have said there will be no pet classes at launch. as for me, All of them! might work on marauder, pugilist or lancer first though

With no pet classes to choose from, I'm definitely looking at Marauder. I love great weapons, and I can't wait to crush skulls with a bhuj or something

I'm looking at Lancer and Gladiator... possibly Marauder. However I'm not making a final verdict until they release more info on the jobs.

I am disappointed to see nothing that resembles a thief but there is always hope. If there isn't anything along those lines, I will probably go the Archer route.

I´m still deciding if i like how everything looks or not, i hope more desciples will be added but for now i think i'm gonna start with ranger.

I'm also hoping they add more classes into the mix. If they don't at the start, then the MNK and RNG ones look reasonable attractive to me. Only worry I have with the Archer is that I'd have to pay for ammo right off the bat, and I don't know if I'll be able to afford that.

If they have greatswords or katanas in the Marauder, I will aim towards that. If not, I will aim whichever job does carry those.

Probably Lancer, maybe Gladiator, initially. I'll probably be switching a lot initially just to get a better idea how each class works.

Pugilist for me, I just love the idea of classes and Hand-to-Hand specialists.
