more than likely you would want to select "Europe" at the POL front page

and for some reason plug ins and shit will load after it's installed then wont, going to use the Alpha for 4 until I can get this figured out.

I was having this same problem on a new alienware m14x, POL wouldn't run. After jumping around about a billion different forums I found a solution that worked. I have a Nvidia Geforce GT 555M graphics card, along with whatever came preinstalled from Intel. I disabled the Nvidia card, and bam, POL worked like a charm, its updating as we speak. Hopefully this helps you out.
