i was thinking of like doing something like this, done it with my redmage

how would you go about it?

im thinking pallas shield and the new helmet with -10% damage for starters


what im thinking is
1. build tp
2. sic sea monster on it
3.once it does sic carrie on it and 300% tp rampage
4. transfer enmity
5. heal carrie
6. fight with it
7.next crab i use a icarus wing and ws
8. transfer enmity
9. win?

im sure this wont work cuz he hits like a ton of bricks
but if any of you have done it please gimme full blown strategy

i have only like 4 merits in beast killer

rajas & fire ring
af2 gloves, pallas bracelets
byrnie+1, monster jacketcoat, hauberk+1

Honestly, your plan would work, but there aren't really any mobs that you can charm around charybdis that you could actually use to win the fight... and I doubt that you'd be able to just use jug pets.

And to answer your question, when I played I had a few jobs at 75, including BST... but I've been retired for over a year now, and my character is long gone.

im gonna try it once, if i fail then i give up

heres my strategy

gonna go bst/rdm for dispel and buffs

not sure if im going with carrie or rapido because carrie has the defense boost and is water based so damage wont be such a hurt

rapido can heal himself, do more damage, is resistant against water and charby wont be resistant towards him

gonna jack up on mnd, pet defense, enhance reward effect gear

gonna
1. build tp
2. sic, ws, then snarl
3.reward it whenever i can
4.icarus wing, snarl
5. buff it as much as i can
by this time it should be at like 1/30th of original hp and just go from there

sucks if i had a pld/nin with me id totally win

I'll tell you right now you will lose. I would say Charybdis is impossible to solo but he truthfully could possibly be soloed under ideal conditions. One of two ways I could see a BST killing Charybdis down there is a very long process of building hate by Charm kiting as BST/NIN then having Tiger jug beat on it while you continued to kite. The other way would MAYBE be if there was absolutely zero competition and you simply killed it using normal NM soloing tactics, basically just throwing pets at him. The pets down their are either too low level to do anything to him or are surrounded by mobs that make them nearly impossible to Charm safely with Charybdis on your tail. Charybdis will eat through your Carrie within one minute or less. If anything, your best bet would be to Charm a Mousse on the way. When we do Charybdis with BST and SMN we usually have at least 5 of us and we use the Mousse since Charybdis hits them for such a low amount. Even with 5 of us Charybdis can still be a pain in the ass.

So in closing, save your time and exp and don't even try. Besides, by the way you talk it sounds like you either bought your account, we're being whooshed, or you're just one of those 2009 BSTs who think they can do things they don't even know anything about, like out parsing E. Body WARs.
