I'm pretty sure the avatar will suck since SE was talking about how we'd be asking them how the new avatar would work at fanfest.

NO....no....and no. That works with drg wyvern because its a long term pet. Avatars and bst pets are not long term, therefore they can not increase in strength over time.

The only reason we'll be asking about it at fanfest is because, if I'm not mistaken, this is going to be the last update out before fanfest hits. I find it pretty lame they would wait until the last possible minute to release the damn thing.

Anyway, I think these updates for RNG arn't anything great, but they are nice, so we're off to a good start. It's true good RNGs right now watch their velocity shot, but having to recast it every 5 minutes is more of an annoyance than anything else. The message to help your positioning is really nice- one thing people don't seem to realize is that there's still lots of players that don't read wiki or boards, so there's no reason whatsoever they would know about the distance mods on firing.

Camouflage update is...eh. I suppose it'd be something nice to fire off just before a big WS or barrage, because Camouflage only lasts like 30 seconds anyway. Only problem I have with enmity reduction is that it's not going to help much with getting into certain kinds of parties since people still do the TP burn thing, where enmity is mostly a non-issue.

Well, looking forward to seeing what the shiny new avatar(s?) will be.

That could be it, however given SE's record of trying something new and making it more complicated than it should be....

Exactly, SE will screw it up like they did all the updates before or itll be great but they will screw something else up, like the ranged delay that one update.

makes me wonder why they dont just make all stance type abilities have a 2 hour duration.
