now to explain what i mean.

There is a shout on my server to join a LS that is suppose to be a " gay- straight alliance". So one can see this is suppose to be a group to join so show why not to oppress a select group and that we are people like everyone else.

now i ask to join because i want to see what they talk about and meet the people. he told me know because "for one: your english sux."

for one he had the nerve to say "sux" to me when talking about my " poor english/spelling skills"

second, this guy thinks "sux" and "ppl" is an "abbreviation"*

lasty, why oppress a different group when you are trying to get acceptance for being oppressed?

I said text slag is not an abbreviation, is improper, and called him a hypercite.

I herd from other sources people get " a double whammy" if they are gay and black ( i personally would not know) and that gay community can divide them self's like that.

why do this? i do not understand.

*PPL is an abbreviation for a few things but was used improperly in his context.:

Believe me, it's much easier to think that he portrays a dumb persona in KI. It took me some time to actually believe in his genuine stupidity.

Don't oppress Anther. Anther did nothin' to nobody! Anther just wanted peace and love!

Frankly, Rambus, your spelling is that bad that I also might decline you in a similar situation. I will say that hypercite and Anther (obviously) are my new favorite 'words'.

This is actually the first time I see someone replacing "no" with "know", and it's pretty damn funny.

I'm fairly sure that any comment about your English being poor is really just a cover for the real thought: "I hate you; please never speak to anyone ever again."

Your insipid waste of a topic raises an interesting question in my mind, though. Sexuality means exactly bupkis in a video game, especially since players often play opposite gender characters, both intentionally and unintentionally (e.g., I played the Assassin in Diablo II). On the other hand, in a game heavily dominated by text communication, which would encompass every MMO on the market (things may have changed in the past year, but I'm going to assume WoW is still text-dominant), the ability to type coherently is critical. I wouldn't join a gay linkshell because the idea is patently absurd. I want to kill monsters, not talk about the best way to tongue-bathe someone's rectum. I have limited patience for people who communicate poorly, though, and someone would have to be a top tier player for me to ignore their atrocious English. Actually, I play sporadically with a few Japanese players who fall precisely into that category, but they have the decency to use the auto-translator instead of vomiting all over the keyboard and pretending that English is their native tongue.

Regardless, to answer your stupid question, the difference is broadly one of choice. Most young people accept that sexuality is, if not genetic, at least not a conscious decision process. Someone suffering moderate to severe dyslexia, on the other hand, makes a conscious choice to spend decades of his life never improving his primary form of communication. Admit it, Rambus, the people who really like you have all been speaking to you over VoIP, right? No matter how pleasant and Barry White you might sound, though, your consistently awful spelling is seen as a sign of laziness. Maybe it's untrue, maybe you're just a hopeless case and cannot improve beyond your present state. Would that be better? I cringe when a dyslexic friend of mine spells "waste" as "waist," but at least I understand his intentions (and have confused homophones myself from time to time).

Actually, re-reading your topic post, it actually is an improvement over some of the crap I've seen you produce. The question in my mind would be whether that is because you spent a lot of time checking over your writing or because you actually are improving. I hope it's the latter, heaven knows you need it. Then maybe you can work on the martyr complex you've got going.

lets clear a few things up

firstly I can communicate just fine, most people that talk on this game talk in vague statements that usually results more then one way of interpreting what someone said.

saying i have trouble talking to people when others spam "2" and 4" to mean both numbers and words in one line makes me want to punch a wall.

does anyone actually post here play the game with most of the population or small groups? most are stupid, stand there and say nothing even when you ask them a question or give an instruction. you usually have to ask someone in tells and not in pt chat for them to listen to you or to get a response. a good example of that was telling someone I found you a rep, do not look for someone, then 10 mins later this guy tells me he got a friend to come.

"can someone voke the new mobs the brd pulls in?"

* nothing*

5 fights later the brd is getting pissed and people wonder why.

like it takes much thought process to voke mobs.

with that being said there are social linkshells and event ones. social ones do not really depend on commutation, it does not get someone killed because you did not say anything.

I also hate how people depend on these "talk chat programs" like vent. Depend is the key word here because too often I see people forget to communicate in game. It leads some people confused what to do and im wondering why when i do have access to both i am the one explaining what is going on.

I had someone be angry at me for one of the said situations here (it was the said friend that was told to come pt with me fater i said i found a rep) the other day he made up with me saying he was really mad about something else. I am farly sure I can hold my own in game, most people that hate me in game come from being jerks or refusal to cooperate and play their job well. ( someone in a pt got pissed at me for asking a rdm to sub whm for barfire and asking the brd to sub nin to pull so we can get better exp, i was getting tired of getting one-shoted because of no barfire and or shell)

and everyone here missed my point of my main issue i had:

so can someone explain why an oppressed group that is being oppressed , oppresses anther? America was founded on that princeable right?

and as far as those other words i am not sure what you expecting to say, the spell check never corrects it and pisses me off trying to get the spelling of those words.

Why do you ask questions, wankmaster? I answered why but you don't seem to understand that your utter failure to improve your spelling is totally on your own shoulders.

The fact that you're frequently intolerable exacerbates the problem. Most people find me abrasive and unpleasant to be around (actually, they seem more often to have no idea how to react to me, but they're still uncomfortable). I'm aware of this and I don't run around asking "Why does no one like me?!" I wish you'd learn that we're really just making excuses for your personality when we say "It's because you can't type."

But to give you another answer to your stupid questions, simply because a group has been systematically put upon does not mean that they're going to be automatically accepting of every human being they meet. YOU are being rejected, pigfucker. It's not that they systematically hate dyslexic mouthbreathers, it's that they hate YOU. I could name dozens of gay people who I'd love to punch in the mouth because of who they are, regardless of the fact that they like cock.

As for why gay people would hate black people, it's because racism is racism. Why are black people heavily homophobic? Humans aren't perfect. It's a lovely philosophical question, but largely pointless. It's in-group versus out-group, always and forever.

I never delt with this person before I do not care if they hate me or not, you seem to be missing my main point in why i wanted to make this topic though. I did bold it and your last post missed it too.

I am not getting off on making " why no one likes me" posts, i know the reason why most don't like me, they see me as a know it all the others are jerks no matter what is done or how nicely i try to sound at times with dealing with people like that.

This thread is an exmaple of showing this:

http://killingifrit....178949-pup-bug/

most that argue issues with me are common secne on these forums. when it comes to game mach anyway.

if people are making excuses ( i swair i do not know this said ls leader), then it shows they are cowards in telling like it is.

This experience wanted me to talk about an issue you have yet to address, i am not here complaining why this guy does not like me ( again the main issue i wanted to get at is bolded)

edit:
ok i will admit i missed your last line when saying what i said, i guess that's it then, stupid though and narrow minded, people should not act like that.
not being perfect is not an excuse.

You're whining philosophically. Humans are pretty much the only species that has developed such a huge population that is not genetically divergent. We're certainly unique among primates which will speciate at the drop of a hat so as to maintain distance between two given tribes. Nature does not favor an in-group that is much larger than 50-100 humans. Our genes are tailored to breed within the same tribe, women and men seek out people who are only slightly different from them genetically (that is, we're almost programmed to in-breed). Shortly after birth, we learn to recognize our mother and other adults around us so as to identify anyone who would be related to us. Those who aren't, we are inclined to disregard, fear, or hate. Rational philosophy likes to pretend that we're better than our genetics, but we're still just monkeys with big brains. Moreover, we're talking about sociological phenomena (and your whining that someone would dislike you). Large groups generally act at approximately the intellectual level of the least intelligent member; that is, large groups are not collectively intelligent, they're collectively moronic.

Just to point out how communication is extremely important in this environment, I think you're not unpleasant at all.

The problem about rambus is sheer lack of maturity; when I looked at rambus' profile and saw that he is 25 years old, I admit it was a bit of a shock. I thought he was a teenager.
How are people supposed to like someone who can't communicate effectively and can't grow up, in every sense of the term?

When I started playing FFXI, I was thirteen years old and my English was terrible (better than rambus' though). I soon realised that people didn't want me around too much, since I was extremely immature and my conversational skills simply sucked. To change that, I had to adapt and learn.
In fact, almost every 'fight' I got into in KI happened because of miscommunications. Some were caused when I typed something inappropriate, and others when I understood certain innocent posts as flames.

If a person can't communicate well enough in a system where communication is vital for social interactions, they will be naturally cast aside and treated like scum.

For the record, I was talking about real people. Text doesn't begin to capture the sense of what it is like to be in the same room as me, especially when my attention is actually focused on you. You know that myth that people love to talk about themselves and have someone listening? The latter half is a lie. When someone is actually listening, they start to get really uncomfortable when they realize how banal, boring, and stupid they sound. I've lost track of how many times I've been given an angry look for innocently asking what someone wants to do with their degree.

no it was not, English is more then spelling.

with most people speaking to mean numbers and all these slag words there is not many that speaks proper anyway.

this is the internet anyway, some are here to argue just to ague anyway. Kind of like your personal attack

you post this in flame wars thinking you'll get some sympathy? Give it up. You constantly whine about the parent company of the game you play, and that is making you one of the biggest hypocrites I've ever seen. I've also seen posts of yours where you're claiming your BLM is better than this job or that job. I agree your grammar sucks, it doesn't piss me off, it makes me laugh so I can care less about it. Quit being such a hypocrite and crybaby.

First of all, you don't communicate just fine. You have a problem and the first step is admitting it. The second step is to look at all the red highlighted words you fucked up, and fix them by looking them up in an online dictionary. Then you need to use full words, instead of half-assing them, and no it's not okay just because the majority of the internet does it. Do that, and I bet you will at least get one serious response to your question. The rest will still be flaming. Another thing, because of your grammar, the people you party with probably instantly think you're a retard. Hence the reason they ignore you or don't listen to you. I can recall many times where someone gave me a bad initial impression by saying something stupid at the start of a merit party, so i just stopped listening to them. You may or may not have had a good point, but once you've shown your stupidity, good luck getting people to take you seriously. You'd think that would be self evident.

Except slang is an excepted form of communication. it may not be proper in the terms of "proper English," but if anyone can understand it, it's proper in the sense that it can be used for communication. And internet speak is all about brevity, since most places only allow you so much space to write. Rambus, when someone uses 4 to mean for, you know what they are talking about. You automatically knew what "sux" meant. You, on the other hand, are the only person I've ever met that can misspell a word that's staring him right in the face (e.g. a word in the topic title), skip a vowel (anther), and somehow confuse "know" for "no."

Slang is communication. What you do to the English language is exactly what you're whining about.

Hypercite is my new favorite Rambusism, next to Volger Skillet.

Rambus has long used the term "hypercites", it's not new. His continued usage of it does sort of prove Patrick's point about Rambus not caring enough to better himself though, 'cause tons of people, myself included have ripped on him in the past for his accusations of hypercisy, and yet he goes right on accusing people of being hypercites.

Like constantly saying "replayed" instead of "replied." I honestly don't know why he won't fix his own spelling, when so many people tell him on a daily basis how horrid it is. If I had something that terribly wrong I was doing, I'd be damn sure trying to fix it asap. I guess that's just the way the aluminum crumples.
