Also don't expect new avatars to be added this early. Do you really think SE wants us to learn about them from .dat mining? If they're in this update they'll be added when it hits or at the other update at the end of November.
I'm sure Elemental Siphon+20 is better than Oracle's even if it's only 20 MP.

Edit: Actually there may be a hint towards new avatars. Among the new weapons found there are two that look different: a scythe and a staff.
Considering one is black and the other is white is it possibly a hint towards Odin and Alexander? Maybe these weapons are rewards from those battles?

I was actually thinking the same thing about the datamined weapons. Looking at all of them, the scythe and the staff were the only ones that didn't use the same aern looking texture maps as the other weapons. I looked at the staff and it has a few religious symbols on it evoking the feel of Alexander's design and shape in previous games as well as color scheme of the hologram model in this one. My best guess is that those two weapons are avatar battle rewards for the fight if a light and dark avatar are actually added (and that would still tilt our balance towards more dark avatars than light, damn you SE!).

I dont have the cash flow for gaiters, and I have wanted movement speed for ages. I think I have to do the +8% movement speed.

What I am strongly considering.... (and this is strictly for the 2nd slot, because I will do the +8% movement speed.)

i personally thought the aern looking weapons woulda been more appropriate for Alexander gear than the staff and scythe..

cos the staff has the crucifix onit.. kinda holy lol

Scythe= DRK and fits Odin
Staff=PLD and fits Alex
the staff looks holy enough to me.
Of course it's only speculation but it's really not that far of a jump. I've seen worse....

344-50=294 x (1.10) = MP 323.4

I don't think its worth it.

wow your logic is a bigger jump then i thought,, there adding a scyth drk use scyth odin is kida like a drk (even thow he uses a spear) therefor maybe Se is GIVING US ODIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you dont see a jump in logic behind that?

339 since lose Oracles +skill but gain +20 before bonus (-50+20 = -30)

1) i never said odin is a drg i said he uses a spear witch is not a scyth.. but realy that has nothing to do with anything.
2) i have seen the scyth and staff

4) if so one said hay look we gettig a new scythe that might be the reward to the avatar fight for atoms, i would say ya thats a bit of a jump in logic

God, you've completely misunderstood what I said lol.
I was simply stating how these 2 weapons look completely different from the others that were added in this update. Now using logic we can suppose that they come from somewhere else.
Of course these could come from any place of the game but considering that new avatars are supposed to show up and their look kinda fits the holy/darkness theme I think it's a pretty good assumption unlike your example using Trion and Zeid.

That's completely ridiculous. What you posted makes absolutely no sense at all and is completely devoid of all logic. Trion and Zeid are not avatars to begin with and Trion uses a sword typically not a staff, but that's not what he's saying with the weapons. You have to understand visual research and interpretation to come to the conclusion, but its a very logical one to come to. Every avatar has had a weapon (or weapons in the case of carbuncle) as possible reward for completing the quest of their avatar battle, so when two new weapons come up that have opposite themes like these do, you could assume they come from either avatar fight rewards or MMM.

The staff has a visual theme of an old style crucifix and religious symbols in addition to using the colors that evoke alexander's color scheme, the same with the scythe and Odin with the scythe being a symbol of death and offensive strength while Alexander was more magical/defensive (ideas evoked by the staff). All of the avatar weapons somehow evoke the themes of the avatar they belong to either in function, style, or both. It's not very much of a jump in logic, and visual and referential connections is how SE ties things together and gives hints to things in this game without giving it all away at once.


He can't say for sure of course, none of us can yet, but it's certainly not out of left field to think that you might find an avatar battle reward while datamining an early update. Either way we have just about 10 days before we find out for sure.
