INT+2, MND+2, CHR+2, MAB+4, MB+10 are the new best MB pants out there and beat Morrigan's for AMII, but it doesn't matter because you should only be MBing with AMII anyway imop.

If Magical Crit Damage+10 actually increases the entire damage of a Magical Crit by 10%, thus making Magical Crits matter much more, what kind of impact will this have on our stance vs. M.Crit gear, and would MAB+4, INT+2, MCrit Damage+10 be better than Morrigan's for T4s?

I'm only getting these if the 8% Movement speed stacks with my Herald's 12% Movement speed.

Then I will be happy in the pants.

If it doesnt, maybe my sam will be happy with some movement speed and -4% Physical Damage.

I don't think they will stack. Just like W.legs and Strider's.

The only valid reason I could counter that, is the odd % of the haste.

8% Seems small enough that they might let it stack. But then again, this is SE we are talking about :(

20% combined seems like a nice round number.

Well, I think SE might have killed Morrigan's too, for all the people willing to give up damage regularity.

For a BLM with 83 MAB (32 trait, 41 equip, 10 merit), MAB+10 from MCrit is about a 5.4% increase in damage.
1.054*1.1 = 1.16 = Now MCrits are a 16% damage boost.
16%/5.4% = MCrits are about 3x as potent as they were.

If 10 MCrit was worth 1MAB before, now it's worth 3 MAB.

With these pants on, the Moogle hat with 10 MCrit and 4 INT is essentially 4INT/3MAB.
Wise Strap would be worth ~.9MAB, which is more than 1INT.
Witch's Sash would be worth ~.6MAB, which is probably about the same as 1INT.

What you sacrifice, and the reason that I might still wear Morrigan's over this when soloing, is damage regularity and predictability. One of the strengths of BLM is that we can predict what our damage will be solo, which we abandon when we bring MCrit into it.

Yea I will still use Morrigan's pants because 10 INT is hard to pass up for resist rates.

Also I just read "Movement speed does not stack, the item with the greater value is always the value you will recieve".

QQ no 20% movement for me.

Sam +Movement pants inc.

o.O I assumed the magic crit damage +10% was an odd translation and just meant +10% activation like normal. Guess we'll see.

Probably going the MAB+4 MB+10% route. lolMBs and whatnot.

I don't know, I haven't magic bursted since 2007, since freenuking is pretty much, well, easy.
Having never gotten around to getting gaiters I will be getting movement +8 and damage -4% for my rdm and blm idle sets, and save myself the 12-15m I would've spent on Gaiters.

FYI: If I had gaiters I would be selling them immediately for the same reason I won't be buying them now.

I'm thinking I'll probably go MAB+4 and Movement+8%... Not the best damage or idling piece, but good enough at both to wear it much of the time.

edit: anyone have the model viewer to see what it'll look like on a Hume w/ AF body and the ACP body?

For someone who only has Mahatma and doesn't do Salvage, augmenting these with MAB+4 and MACC+4 is a reasonable choice and outdoes Mahatma right?

Ignoring other stats;

INT+8
vs.
INT+2, MAB+4, MACC+4

I rarely MB and I'm not too keen on the whole Magic Crit thing, I prefer constant numbers.

Yeah, those would do better than Mahatma. Extreme target INT cases would still favor Mahatma, but the 2 MAcc difference wouldn't be worth keeping them for.
