This is an easy choice, cause I love my ACP body with Pet Acc/Racc..I'm going to compliment that with some Pet Att/Ratt. Gotta have some umph in your shots. Also the Haste For yourself is a must. Why would you not??

Mini rant: If I see another pup with Kick attack on their pants...I swear..I've seen a handful of pups today with the kick attack..it just feels SO USELESS...

It shouldn't just FEEL useless. Its completely pointless, Kick attack bonus is totally worthless for anyone when 3% haste is another available option. I'd do the math but its 1:30 AM, so I'll leave it to Veg or someone else @.@

Mixing and matching pet stats is silly when you have pieces like herder's that give more accuracy, last number I heard was 12. Now 3% haste is pretty awesome, but adding pet stats onto what would be a master TP piece just seems like a waste, especially if it is pet attack among all things. The only combo that I could see substantially increasing the puppet is pet accuracy and pet store TP, which would shave off a hit for cannibal blade. Of course, that barely seems like an increase over herder's, so IMO this should not be a pet piece.

If you're going to add pet stats, don't half ass it. If you want hybrid builds just go camp herder's subligar and toss on a turban or something. If you want haste, pair it with something that will benefit you. If you want pet legs, camp herder's and then choose these pants with haste and something that will benefit you.

For new SP build:
Waghs
T Ani/Ani+1
Anwig
Soil/Light/Faith
Brutal/Diabolos|ACP7(3)
Mirkegeon
Enk
Lava's/Kusha's or Rajas/Ulth
Pantin
Virtuoso
Surge or Usukane
AF+1

Which could get ~81% before food on birds, so with pizza/sushi could swap surge for usu and/or rajas/ulth. With surge subligar (WS) herder's (VE) and pantin (SR), it seems like a must to get 3% haste and 7 acc.

I am somewhat concerned though that adding so many accuracy pieces and losing the STR needed for fSTR stats could prove to hurt overall WS damage. Am I misinterpreting the importance of STR here?

You're not overestimating STR, you're underestimating ACC. Multi hit weapon skill damage decreases by a huge amount as you miss hits, and no amount of STR is going to make up for missing a hit. Cap acc on it first, then worry about capping fSTR.

Been months since anyone posted in this thread... oh well...
Anyway, I haven't finished ASA yet that's why I came here to see what people were doing.

My thought was I really wanted movement+, and I can just use AF2+1 for tp, ws, and pet magic, so was gonna do Repair Potency+ for the other slot just 'cause it's about all I'd use it for.
I'm actually kinda surprised noone else suggested. o.O
I guess people really like their Sharpshot augments...

I vote for Haste TP pants for Shantotto gear. The pet augments aren't worth it, really. Haste+ACC make them too good, especially when PUP can really make use of ap owerful haste build now. I really wish they had put M.AB AND M.ACC on there, though.

I agree on the MAB/MACC part. I really do wish it was both, like on the body.


Anyways, redoing the legs right now, I'm personally choosing Haste +3 and Accuracy +7, which will also be used for my Monk.

Paired with ACC+10 ATK+10 Mirke, and STR+4 WSACC+15 ATK+5 ACC+10 Anwig.


Edit: Just failed BC, ugh. Seriously, this BC can either be the easiest BC done ever, or the hardest BC done ever.

Really wasn't ever a reason not to go 3 Haste 7 Acc on the legs if you were getting them for PUP. They are currently miles better than any other TP leg piece we have, and on par for WSs (though I use AF2 legs atm, fuck you salvage for being a time sink I can't commit to). Barring full usukane, 3 haste 7 acc trumps usu legs hands down. Even after the coming update I'd still say the ASA legs will be the better TP piece. Only reason I could ever think of to NOT get 3 haste 7 acc for those legs would be if you never TP on PUP or have full Usukane, at which point the pet Acc/Atk combos could be useful. Still though, AF2+1 legs are just as much M.Acc, and NQ are 2 less. . .
