Its been ages since I've used Sun Water for anything. The last time I did use it I specifically remember 1000 Needles not doing full damage to the monster I was using it against due to physical damage resistance, Phalanx on the monsters, etc. It did like 750 or 500 or something. I was curious if anyone has used it recently against the Sky gods and if it has done the full 1000 damage. I don't believe any of the Sky gods have a straight physical damage resistance in much to the effect of some other monsters. Genbu obviously has high physical defense, but I think that this is due to just high defense and rather not damage resistance?

Any feedback would help and screenshots would definitely be welcome.

not to sure about that soz neurotic. I do however have a story about 1000 needles. Me and another Bst were exp'ing out in altepa and one of the FoV Mobs was a cactuar so, the both of us had pets charmed and was fighting, and instead of 1000 needles doing 250 each. It did 250 on 3 of us and 252 on one of the pets i think it was. Very strange i thought

In answer to your question (having thought about it) i would believe that it was indeed because of the sheer high DEF of the mob you didn't get 1000 dmg. I mean it's like going up against vrtra and expecting 1000 dmg to be done. I wouldn't of thought its possible.

Defense has no effect on damage dealt by 1000 Needles, ever. Physical damage reduction is the only thing that can lower it(be it a phalanx effect, equipment(in the case of a PC), or a natural resistance.

Im nearly positive that 1000 Needles is piercing damage like any other.

so its going to brutally murder Suzaku with a full 100tp/3charge set (via zoolater)

however most undead mobs aside from toads, and slimes, and mimics are going to take a reduced effect (and thus its not going to be very strategetic to use them over the regular pet swap pattern, rather than pet zerg)

When they added ready we let a few bsts come to some events with a cactuar. 1k needs worked flawlessly on khim,kirin,JoL,AV and some more shit that I can't remember. We'll probably bring a bst or two to next Odin too. It's impressive, not to mention PR's that can add to a bsts damage with 1k+ with the right gear.

obviously AV was just after pop and he sent the pet in to do it.

Lol, now we know why SE put those Aerns near AV's spawn point. So BSTs could build TP!

The amusing thing is, if AV has 70k HP, then 18 BSTs could almost perfectly take off the last 25% in one round of 1000-needles xD
