So, im cruising the shantotto website and see the augments are finally up. after careful inspection i see conserve tp +5. WTF IS THAT?!?!?! What you all think? It very well could be a Conserve MP typo, but in case its not, any thoughts?

The more i seem to think about it, the more it sucks actually. If its like conserve MP, it would work durring a WS unless it just gives random TP bonus's to attacks. In either case, your either losing a huge amount of str on WS, or a huge amount of acc/haste from loss of BH. looks like movement speed is the way to go.

I don't think any SAM would choose anything besides +8% Movement speed and -4% Damage/ 7 Evasion etc.

So it doesnt really matter what Conserve TP does lol.

Just my .02

I'd hardly call 3-4 STR "huge." Significant, sure, but not huge.

People obsess about movement speed way too much. It's a marginal convenience that, unless you collect an Azure Key from Fei'Yin every day or some other long aggro-free walk, will not see a lot of use. What does Samurai kite? I use my Hermes' Sandals on Monk because I actually am kiting from time to time, such as when soloing ZNMs.

sam could kite...

we dont kite anything atm, cuz well yea.

and as a person that solos alot it makes me very happy.
game breaking? by no means, but its just a overall boost to general game play.
hell i remember a time when u had to run basicly everywhere.
i could even go as far as to say running has consumed almost 50% on my playtime lol.
nowadays not so much, but since theres shit other options for sam ill take it quick.

I'd laugh at anyone who isn't a nin that does WS in kittypants.

I thought we were playing a game where we listed the useful stats on a piece of gear followed by a completely irrelevant one. My mistake.

So the two or three people who actually fight Dark Ixion might (might) get some use out of the movement speed. Drace, the Samurai who used to lead my Salvage group, would get some mileage (har har) out of them because he tended to be the one running to the next mob as our Bards can't be bothered to learn the pulls. It's a pretty marginal stat, though, all told. Hermes' Sandals have been a nice investment for my Monk, but for the most part, I find myself constantly asking if I should sell them. If I ever get the parts for Usukane Somen, I'd probably throw them on the AH immediately if I needed their worth for Orichalcum Ingots.
