The fast-approaching major version update will usher in auspicious adjustments spanning a wide range of in-game elements. Today, it is our pleasure to introduce the changes that are scheduled for the Chocobo Circuit, the fishing quest "Inside the Belly," and more!

Chocobo Circuit

- Bigger Rewards
The amount of chocobucks rewarded to first, second, and third place winners in chocobo racing will be significantly increased.

- Revised Race Schedule
The Chocobo Circuit schedule has undergone a full review. The C2 Chocobo Race and C1 Crystal Stakes will be held with greater frequency, and races will take place at the same time each Earth day, making it easier for players to participate than ever before.

Posted Image

*The red and blue race attendants above will alternately conduct races.

- New Rewards
The dashing racing silks dutifully worn by jockeys will be added to the list of reward items obtainable in exchange for chocobucks. With each color offering unique beneficial effects for its wearer, there is bound to be something for every chocobo fan!

Quest: Inside the Belly
Players will be able to turn in more varieties of fish to the quest-starter NPC. Rumor has it these fishes have a penchant for swallowing up new equipment whole...?

Posted Image

Past Vana'diel

- Xarcabard [S]
Monster distribution will be adjusted to allow adventurers to safely arrive at their destination when using the teleportation service requiring Allied Notes.

- Eldieme Necropolis [S]
A number of gates within the necropolis will be adjusted to remain open at all times to allow players to find their way to union treasure chests at the end of a Campaign Battle.

All this and more is coming to you in the soon-arriving major version update!

Time to get back to fishing during non-event times.

I'm running out of things to discuss with my moogle anyway.

Guess my 100 fishing and Ebisu may have some candy to catch if the gear is any good for Inside the Belly, but has FF really become this sad that the Friday before that's all they can muster to announce? This is either the biggest shocker surprise update ever or a traditional SE fail which is becoming the norm as of late. I'm not even a SMN and i want the new avatars already they promised. That new Avatar movie by James Cameron will probably be out before the two new ones they promised ages ago. Someone needs to tell SE wake up before they lose everyone. Finish WOTG at least, this is like torture.... Improve MMM which we wasted away so much time.... More for PUP and all jobs! More everything for everyone. SE at least go out with a bang and make it good for all of us. Otherwise I hope everyone doing great.

Avatars are always announced at the very last minute meaning that IF they get added in this update we'll know monday when the servers go down for maintenance.
That said I'm extremely happy about the Xarcabard (S) change. Took you long enough to realize that an Impossible to gauge flying dragon on top of the spawning point and the fortifications wasn't a good idea, eh SE?

Maybe if I get really bored, I'll go back to doing Chocobo Hot-n-Cold for Chocobucks. Not a chance in hell I'll bother with the actual races.

Looks cool, hey anyone know if my character will be deleted if I cancel my account and I don't play for 2 years? I won't be playing for a long time but I wanna play again once I get back from my Military training with my character. There is no way I can make a new character I just won't be able to enjoy the game.

It should still be there on your account if you never actually deleted the character. You can delete/cancel the ID it used, the account and the card you used to pay it but it will still be on the account as long as you didn't hold down the D button and press enter.

Dats would have most likely been added by now.

When exactly? Last week's update only added a few .dats not all of them. Besides there are already plenty of avatar models in the game.

Monster distribution will be adjusted to allow adventurers to safely arrive at their destination when using the teleportation service requiring Allied Notes.

About time, though we shouldn't have had to wait till the next version update for this to be changed it was quite apparent how ridiculously hard it was to zone into Xarc [S] and not be mobbed by either multiple imps and/or one of those stupid ass dragons they figured we needed to worry bout so badly.

At least this is one nice treat. Remembering going in there on my old laptop, which played the game like screenshots, was funny to see myself immediately dead zoning in.

Yeah, I know, not only them dragons, but I remember getting smacked up by multiple imps when I tried getting tags one time... Not much you can do when both of those are true sight...
