It would be nice if they made all campaign mobs avoid tag NPCs as well. Pisses me off how many time I go up for tags and try to sign up for a union only to get stopped by countless AoE spams of some sort.

Also, I'm surprised SE's still giving a shit about Chocobo racing. I figured they were done with it. The fishing thing seems cool, though, for fishermen. I personally don't, but there's a guy in my LS whom I'm sure would be pleased to hear this as he's just earned his ebisu and solo's the pirate chart BC on his SMN.


Edit: As far as the avatars go, i'm betting they split the bill three ways to hide any dats they are adding til the last minute so we don't spoil any surprise. At least that's my theory.

This is the typical version update bell curve for SE. The first piece of news is usually something really small. They then start giving more interesting news as the weeks progress. They reach a climax which are usually job adjustment related and then they slowly become less interesting as we get closer to the update. The friday before the update they usually announce the last piece of news that isn't even really worth mentioning in a news update such as mobs being moved in Xarcabard [S]. I'm not saying this isn't good news, but its not worth mentioning in a version update notice. This easily could have been left out until the version update day.

IMO an easy fix to this is when applying for campaign tags ask if the player also wants to join a union at that time, that way you're covered on both parts and you don't have to worry bout being interrupted by stupid AoE, could throw in if you want to obtain any temp items at the time too to completely make it a one stop shop. But SE could care less, otherwise they would've addressed this or would have stated they would address it...

I remember when Fenrir was released back before I quit from Unicorn server, they made a big deal out of it, dunno bout Diabolos since I didn't play again till 360 beta to current so he was already old news at that point. To the point though, I doubt the new avatar's SE claims they have in store for SMN's are coming this update, they would've leaked at least that they were coming and would reveal them soon in the first update note...

Info wasn't released on Diabolos until the day of the update, it came as a surprise to everyone. That's why I'd expect it to be the same for this update. Fenrir was a different story all together.

I still doubt we'll see any avatars this update, since there's nothing that screams a possible summon to me yet outside of Ixion. I know SMNs are going fanboy saying they "know" it's going to be Alexander but seriously... get real. Alexander's BC was released over 3 years ago. If he was going to be an avatar you think he'd be released now don't you?

I'm hoping SE decided to wait and release the avatar at a later time and fix SMNs problem of having no real edge in an EXP PT til 70 because of level sync making it easy to get a WHM or RDM to be main healer. At least with Avatar's Favor this could help SMN out more than another avatar.

Ixion and Atomos are the only possibilities I see if not Odin/Alexander. Walk of Echos music is called Cloister of Time and Souls. Time is no doubt Atomos and the Ixion is come! article did make him out to be a grim reaper kind of character, so souls.

Which is why I'd be laughing, though SMNs bitching about the avatar seems to be a likely scenario due to a lot of reasons.

EDIT: Also, that Eldieme Necropolis [S] adjustment should be done for the present to so you don't need to drag a friend to flip switches for you when you're coffer hunting.

Naa, SE wouldn't make it that simple.

Would have to get a BCNM item from it, then go through a series of stick a spoon up my ass quests, then go to an area you hate going through to get to the BCNM, then go into a battle that is really hard, and if you lose, you have to go through all this again to try again.

That sounds a little more like SE's thinking.

Close, but SE is saving that for lolShantotto. Addons have always been jumping through hoops if you fail.

I just hope it's not as gay as ACP's climb, hated that f*cking tower.
