The following job-related adjustment previously announced via topics has been canceled

REDUCTION IN ENMITY FOR RANGED ATTACKS

Fuck you square enix. This to myself and im sure many others was the icing on the cake for this update.

No, this would have been the cake. The icing is getting messages telling me how effective my ranged attacks are to confirm that I'm at the right distance.

Yeah, that was pretty shitty of them. As long as they fixed Velocity shot, though, I don't care. lol That would've been nice to have, though...

Meh, even SMN got a bit dicked on it (the "right around the corner, we'll be asking how to use them this time next year" avatars are still missing, but that's an entirely different debate I don't dare get into). Though the Avatar's favor and a few pieces of new gear seem nice. This update was rather bland overall.

Edit: From what I'm reading, Avatar's favor completely blows and carby mitts are broken, so yeah. This update was a letdown.

The one thing that would have made using RNG a bit more tolerable (especially in merit parties) and they don't even give it to us...I don't think dying in a fire is enough punishment ><;

If you're worried about pulling hate in merit parties, you've got the wrong mentality. If I don't have hate, I'm doing something wrong.

Haven't really played on my RNG in a while and was interested in seeing how this would affect meripo (and invites) but meh, guess I'll just stick to leveling up my PLD for no reason.

Fuck this noise. Piece of shit update, do people really give a flying fuck about chocobo racing. Even smn update was a big letdown, sounds cool and all but for those who have more than 1 job to bring to endgame its garbage. Im not gonna trade in my DD potential to be a shitty support job personally, but for those with just smn it gives a wider range of things to do i guess.

One other thing im not sure of tho, is the nerf to sch devistating or am i wrong? Not sure entirely how it works, but isnt the MV trick only usefull during the helix spells or w/e, effectively making this crap now? Like i said im not sure on this, but if its something else it doesnt seem to make any sense.

One again SE proves that if your not sam, your not worth making better, and if ppl find a way to make a job useful/good, they will assfuck nerf the job til noone wants to use it, and years later restore it to 1/4 of its former glory in their attempt at "throwing it a bone".

Its updates like this that make me want to quit the game again, i'd rather nothing was done, that way there would be nothing to be pissed about. I will say this tho, cape might be useful :-/

Seems the distance notification messages on RAs didn't make it in either, but aren't mentioned as being canceled. Would be nice to know one way or the other what's up with that.

yes they did. you now have the following messages...
Ranged attack hits mob (too close or too far from sweet spot)
Ranged attack hit mob squarely (closing in on the sweet spt)
Ranged attack hits true, pummeling the mob (sweet spot)

also, camoflauge stays up when shoting normal shots behind. Barrage and WS usage cause it to drop. using on an unclaimed mob causes enmity. no idea the use of this

Oh, shit, then I didn't shoot enough times to see that, lol. Guess I was always far enough out of the sweet spot to see the old message.

Nevermind me.

As I said in the other thread, this update is a peice of shit. I have never, in all the years of playing FF been so pissed off about being handed such ass bagery as this. This shantoto Expansion is fucking retarded also folks. yay, let's make Gusgen Mines about the same thing as Aery, and on top of that, let's make the final synth you just spent 3 hours farming have a chance to crit fail and start the whole thing over again, is this not fun guys?

I think they want to address having 8/9 SCH one shotting stuff like UFOs and such.

there was the potency to oneshot AV but they could not get 9 MVs off for some reason to do it.
