i still want to know the purpose to the camoflage not dropping. it creates enmity, drops then usings a WS or Barrage, but not for normal ranged attacks. think i'll test this out, to see if there is some enmity reduction while its up

I honestly just think that because of where the game is right now, with how powerful other DD jobs have become, SE should just completely remove the '04 nerf on rng's. The whole thing about the distance nonsense is the dumbest shit iv ever seen, how do ppl not already know how to get to the "sweet spot". Hit a mob for 109 dmg, move up a bit... hit mob for 127 dmg, move up a bit more... hit mob for 111 dmg, move back to where you were! Guess rng must be getting dumber to actually needs something that says "You are in the right spot in case you cant tell you are already doing more dmg from here retard".

Would have been pumped for enm down on Rattacks, could have been like a passive stealthy shot trait that would at least allow rng to do more dmg on a mob, or not have to wait til they were sure it would die from a ws before they used it. Couldnt even get that tho, wouldnt surprise me if in next update they updated slugwinder to do only double damage with quadruple the chance of missing target. Someone at SE needs a kick to the balls.

This is something that should have been fixed a long time ago, as the enmity from ranged attacks has always been greater than normal melee hits. Way to go always pulling hate even if you are doing less damage than a samurai in your party. Either SE doesn't have a clue about their own game (very likely), or they intended it to be this way. However, that makes no sense at all. Why would a mob always come after the guy standing miles back shooting things at it when there is a guy standing right infront of it pumelling it in the face? Fuck you SE

As I said in the other thread, this update is a peice of shit. I have never, in all the years of playing FF been so pissed off about being handed such ass bagery as this. This shantoto Expansion is fucking retarded also folks. yay, let's make Gusgen Mines about the same thing as Aery, and on top of that, let's make the final synth you just spent 3 hours farming have a chance to crit fail and start the whole thing over again, is this not fun guys?

The RNG part of the update is underwhelming. The new NMs are fun. While you're QQing, I'll be kill killing.

Shantotto expansion is a step forward for the lazy (no rare/ex components) and if you give it a week I'm sure the throng in Gusgen/Ordelle's/Maze will die down to acceptable levels. Just like with the other expansions.

And just as a note... farmed all of the items needed for the enfeebling box (and made a bit of dosh on the side by taking advantage of the lazy not bothering to look up recipes for low-level synths), synthed all of the ingredients for the box and then the box itself with 0 breaks. All using my 11 leather, 2 woodworking, and 0 alchemy skills.

The distance nerf would be nice to ditch, the whole "hay RNG, you're not affected by level correction" was broken, but no one cared because RNG was a god. It was the only DD used on HNM because it was the only one not reduced in power, and if they removed level correction again, everything'd just go back to 2004.

Otherwise, like everyone else, you're exaggerating to improve your ability to whine. It would've been great to add enmity reduction based on distance, but it didn't happen. SE is not going to go and just for the fun of it fuck with RNGs to make life even harder.

By the by, RNG is pretty handy for a lot of the new NMs, why don't you stop QQing and go kill them?

Has anyone tried to test and see if the hunters jerkin (+1) enhances/changes camo in anyway?

And is the duration of camo still the same (few seconds - 1+ min)?

I havent had the time to log in and check out this update yet so all i have to go on is what ppl are saying lol

Jagerbombs. His sig reminded him of that video for the jager bombs, not haircuts.

As far as your derail goes:

Fuck this noise. Piece of shit update, do people really give a flying fuck about chocobo racing. Even smn update was a big letdown, sounds cool and all but for those who have more than 1 job to bring to endgame its garbage. Im not gonna trade in my DD potential to be a shitty support job personally, but for those with just smn it gives a wider range of things to do i guess.

One other thing im not sure of tho, is the nerf to sch devistating or am i wrong? Not sure entirely how it works, but isnt the MV trick only usefull during the helix spells or w/e, effectively making this crap now? Like i said im not sure on this, but if its something else it doesnt seem to make any sense.

One again SE proves that if your not sam, your not worth making better, and if ppl find a way to make a job useful/good, they will assfuck nerf the job til noone wants to use it, and years later restore it to 1/4 of its former glory in their attempt at "throwing it a bone".

Its updates like this that make me want to quit the game again, i'd rather nothing was done, that way there would be nothing to be pissed about. I will say this tho, cape might be useful :-/

I think they want to address having 8/9 SCH one shotting stuff like UFOs and such.

there was the potency to oneshot AV but they could not get 9 MVs off for some reason to do it.

He asked a question about SCH's MV fix and you did answer it. But the discussion ended right there after, so I don't think the thread was going to get derailed, it just seems Path wanted to nip the derail at the bud before it began.

Anyways, back on topic. I took RNG to dynamis last night. The ranged messages were kind of weird at first, but I got used to them. Nothing I didn't know already about where to stand to reach my "sweet spot" for RA's, but meh. I did notice some mobs you have to stand either a little further away or closer to, to get that message. I dunno if the game calculates your r.acc vs. the mobs evasion or something, or maybe I'm just imagining things. >.> The camouflage update sucks.. even with AF body on it doesn't last long enough to be worth it. About the only nice thing from this update was the Velocity Shot fix. :/

Regarding the varying distance, it has to do with how big a mob is. If you use Windower and the Distance plugin, you'd probably have noticed this a long time ago. Maximum melee distance from something small like a Colibri is something like 3.5 yalms, but if you're fighting something significantly larger, you can stand 5 yalms away and still hit. Ranged attacks have the same effect. It seems that SE actually calculates the edge of the mob. Distance calculates the center of the mob, where the pointer floats.

talking about someone's sig is more of a detail then me answering a question.

my point stands.

path was not niping anything, a lot of KI threads derail it is like the norm. he likes getting on my case though.
however that first and last post would of been my last talking about it,"it" as in, the answering of MV/ MV in genral/ and not talking about who is derailing more, if someone else did not go off-topic. I hate the " it is not ok for you to do it, but ok for me" mentality.
