So I found a Flat Shield earlier today.

Stats:
Lv. 30 [Shield]
DEF:7 INT+1 MND+1 hMP+2

It looks like a nice piece for pre-51 and Elemental Staves. Get an INT+ club and that Rare/Ex hMP+ club from the bird by Windy and you're good to go.

Or you could get a Spiro Staff for resting... But then again, yeah, this would be good for pairing up with an INT club, ESPECIALLY if you already have Pilgrim's Wand... It'd be good for a Starter BLM... I'll prolly get me one for my SCH, if I decide to Level it due to Modus Veritas Nerf...

All SE did was make an already "meh" ability and make it even more meh since their precious AV was in danger; unless you just wanted SCH lvl'd to MV zerg stuff it really shouldn't affect your decision to lvl it.

Considering that the MV Zerg barely worked I don't see why you would base your decision to level the job or not based on it.
