Hey guys! I recently had my computer fixed up, but unfortunately they had to erase FFXI and POL from my PC. Today, i tried to reinstall. I successfully installed POL and the 4 initial ffxi discs with Rize of the Zilart. I moved on to install CoP next. I made it through the entire installation of CoP until it got to the very end where it says "removing backup files" (the progress bar was at 100%). I figured it just froze so I clicked 'cancel' and then restarted my PC. I tried to install ToAU next, but when I tried to run the setup installation, I got an error message that read "1607: Unable to install InstallShield Scripting Runtime".
I'm not very computer literate, so i have NO idea what this means. I looked through the stickies but was unable to find it also. If anyone could shed some light, I would appreciate it! Thanks!

This is a great example of "take it back to where you had it fixed and tell them to do it again". Errors such as that are hard to diagnose and are difficult to fix, especially if it has something to do with the inner workings of the operating system.

I just got the same thing.
Any way to reinstall without doing that big update again?
