Lv. 71 THF / RNG / COR
Drop off: Barbaric Weapon in Xarc, timed Spawn around G-8 along the spine on the eastern side of the large rock.
I think hes probably cor soloable but i'v not tired yet, any thoughts? I use commodore gants (2/3 on Skadi hands.... DAMN 35!) So the AGI +1 makes it more than worthwhile, the Macc (if it does effect QD etc etc) would make these prolly better than Skadi?

I'd say these are now a CORs best QD hands. But even if M.Acc doesn't effect it. QD these are still pretty good for COR considering the lack of handgear we have QD wise.

I pretty sure that this piece having +agi and +magic accuracy, and only being for rng,cor, and thf. It's SE hinting that yes, magic accuracy does effect quick draw.

Corsair can solo this nm pretty easily.
Reccomend cor/blm for 2 reasons.
1: It deaggro's a lot (faster than QD is up to reclaim), so bio is a nice tool for stopping it going yellow and also for stopping regen if it does
2: Mab bonus will speed things up.
You will need movement+, nm runs at 12%, hits like a truck and double attacks. Its tp move doesnt hurt to bad, although the add effect stun is a pain. If you are blinking rolls/qd/rd the only thing thats really going to kill you will be animation lock. So its just a case of kiting it, using evo/dnc roll as and when needed and keeping wiz roll up. Ice shot is my preference due to the frequent double weather in the zone. Takes about 18-25m (depending on weather/rd procs) with use of RD > WC > RD at start.
As for the hands, best QD (all shots) piece, skadi comes close especially on resistant mobs, but even then rover's are probably slightly ahead. Also the +24mp is +mp on a visible piece, so makes activating ugg on /nin even easier.
Drop rate isnt fantastic, but not awful. Went 1/6 on mine (4 kills w/o th and 2 with th4, dropped on th4), 0/3 on my friends pair atm.
Oh also, this nm is NOT time spawn, i can say with 100% certainty it is lottery. There are 2 weapon mobs that /can/ spawn where barbaric pops, a rdm and a war. If one or both are not up at spine and have not been just killed, they will be up at the spine to the east of barbaric's pop area. The PH is the war weapon that is either at barbaric's spawn or off to the east. People have assumed its timed spawn because its often seen up with no other weapons anywhere near it. Repop time is 2.5hrs+ from my own experience, may be as low as 2hr+

Thing with cor is, we have no natural magic skill, and not alot of gear for Bio, for these reasons im guessing it wouldnt land for any worthwhile period of time on this NM, hence wouldnt be worth doing.
Tho the info on the NM is very interesting, been camping him under the impression he was a 7 hour timed spawn o.o;

Any chance you can talk about your kite path if this weapon has 12% movement speed?

Bio will never resist (well it might if mob has magic shield up) and will always last for a set amount of time (I believe its 120s), the dot damage you will get from it as cor/blm is shite, but in terms of being able to keep claim on mob and stop it being able to regen if unclaimed, its great. /whm Dia works too, its a faster cast so even less chance of unclaimed mob, but then you lose your QD damage boost from /blm. Litterally the only reason for using bio is to make sure it cant be stolen/your damage undone, and for this /blm bio works fine
As far as kiting goes, you can pretty much kite it anywhere, i used to pull it south west to the dyna nm walls, however now i just kite it where it spawns. The nm to the east of a wall, just run to that wall and follow it (in either direction) and just keep hugging the wall and it will take you around in a big square. The NM's pathing down the south part of the square is extremely bad, so good time to use things like wc/se if you arnt blinking them too.

I can confirm the pop time is much lower than 7 hours. Someone killed it right before i entered Dynamis, came back as soon as i got out and popped him within 15 min, so i'd say it was about 3-3.5 hours between pops (wasn't really looking at the clock). Used /blm and Bio did help alot because i was having a pretty hard time keepin it claimed.
Edit: Also for kiting, i would recommend taking it to the 'Option two' Tower from MKD as there's a lower chance of someone running by while you're killing it and jacking your NM.

i was gonna camp this thing today do u guys think a smn + cor can handle this or would smn + sch be better?? what u guys think

Well I saw smn x2 duo it and they didnt seem to have any issues at all, and as crazy as the hate on this thing is, i'd imagine if you let the avatar tank, and popped a couple QD's on it so the smn could get a new one out, it should go smooth. If things get scary, just start kiting
Also a friend of mine said he saw 2xblm attempt to duo it, and they got wiped so i'm not sure how well a sch would do.

i camped this for 4 hours with thf brd and cor. nothing popped. i killed ph's at g-8 and h-8.. lol i was very annoyed

I'm a little bit confused. I've been killing cursed weapons at G-8 and H-8 for a couple of hours, and I'm yet to see a WAR type...unless Windower infobar just says they're all RDM?

The weapons all look the same and the only way to tell if it's a war or rdm is if they cast something mid fight I go as cor sub nin and notice that they do cast magic on me b/c merc kris and Martial gun. I did make a video to show how I solo'd it and the area I did it at. After sometime I just recorded all the dmg to show how long it took. Hope it helps anyone with it.
