I just got whm to 56 and not really sure as to how to manage my macros.
If not to big of a burden could you post how your macros for exp are set up.
This is what mine look like correct me if am wrong:
Strl:Hmp|AffS|AffM|Stoneskin|Ausp|
Alt:cure|cure2|cure3|cure4|haste|prot/shell|

How are you handling your -Na spells, just through the menu?
I'm only level 36 but I've found having them macroed in to be very useful.

I type and use the menu for pretty much all my spells. I get very annoyed at macro lag and prefer not to use them on WHM. The only macros I use are when I -need- to have a gear swap.

for my cure macros i use <st> so i can always have the pointer on the party list when i'm not doing anything productive. for most buffs i use the menu but i manually sort the spells so i can have the most used ones close to the top.

Same alisha. my spell list is set up very particularly, with the most used spells in a certain order. At this point, I have the button patterns memorized to the point that i can hit a few arrow keys faster than i can activate a macro.

My WHM macros are setup like this(mainly because I'm used to that)
Empty / Resting / Idle / Erase / cureII / cureIII / cureV / Regen / Haste / Flash
Silena / Poisona / Paralyna / Esuna w/ Misery / Stona / Cure IV / Auspice / Barspells / Repose / Stun(If I'm ever /DRK anymore lol.)

Play with the macros until you find the order that is best for you.
I pretty much have a general macro set but my -na spells and bar- spells always change depending on the situation I am in.
My own sets.
Set 1:
CTRL: Cure 3, 4, 5, Pro+Shell, Haste, Regen, Repose, Erase, Sacrifice, Esuna.
ALT: -na, -na, -na, -na, Stoneskin, Reraise, Bar-, Holy, Flash, Banish.
Set 2:
CTRL: Slow, Paralyze, Silence, Blind, Sleep, Sleepga, Bind, Dia, Bio
ALT: Aspir, Drain, Sneak, Invisible
As I use spellcast for my gearswaps I do not have a /heal macro and my job abilities including the afflatus stances are used from the menu.
I still need to incorporate the stances into my spellcast.

CTRL- Cure1/Cure2/Cure3/Cure5/Regen2/Regen3/Na1/Na2/Na3/Stoneskin
ALT- Idle/Rest/Barspell/Flash/ProtectraShellra/Haste/Erase/Esuna/Sublimation/Devotion
Cure macros 1-3 are all the same setup, Cure 5 is maximizing potency.
Regen setup hax Capricorn Staff/Wala/AF2 body/Blessed Hands/legs/rostrum&blessed feet(macro), and swift belt. With errant cape, tamas ring, trooper's ring, novia earring/loquac. earring, and Orochi Nodowa in the other slots.
Na 1/2/3 is at 24% haste. Generally Paralyna/Silena/Stona are in the 3 slots, but changed accordingly. 7i's/genbu's/HHbomb/Wala/Orochi/Novia/Loq/Goliard/Blessed x3 & rostrum/Swift/Errant/Tamas/Trooper
Stoneskin is a mix of haste, +mnd, and +enhancing(AF2 Feet mostly) to max out stoneskin HP first priority, then reducing recast as second.
Idle is -PDT, refresh, regen.
Barspell is max -enmity possible with AF2 legs, Blessed Body, and Enhancing Torque/Aug earring. Full setup is: 7i's,Genbu's/HHbomb/Raven BEret/Enhancing Torque/Novia/Augmenting/Blessed Body/Blessed Hands/Blessed Feet&rostrum pumps/Cleric's Ptln., Penitent's Rope/Merciful Cape.
Protectra&Shellra is mostly my general idle setup, with +conserve mp put int.
Flash is +haste mostly, for lowest possible recast, Then -enmity.
Haste setup is pretty much identical to my Na setups, Devotion setup is all of my HP gear put on and a cure (maxing me out), then devotion onto the target.
That was pretty much my macros and my equip setups I had.
I went down a macro set to go to the standard enfeebling setup, and light/dark arts.
CTRL -(Addendum: White, Elemental Seal, Light Arts all 1 macro)/Para/Slow/SilenceDia
ALT - (Addendum: Black, Elemental Seal, Dark ARts)/Sleep/Sleepga/Bind/Blind/Poison/Bio/Dispel

Here are my WHM/SCH macros:
Macro set 1:
DivineSeal | Penury | Celerity | DarkMagic | Stoneskin | Enfeebs | Buffs | Barspells | Main | Main
Flash | Hate | Cure3 | Cure4 | Cure5 | Silena | Erase | Paralyna | Poisona | Blindna
DarkMagic activates Dark Arts, then takes me to macro set 4. Enfeebs takes me to macro set 2. Buffs takes me to macro set 3. Barspells takes me to macro set 5.
The two "Main" macros equip my standing equipment set.
The "Hate" macro is just a simple "/as <stnpc>" to determine who has hate on a given mob.
For Silena/Erase/Paralyna/Poisona/Blindna, those are the standard -na spells I macro, but I will often change this based on what I am fighting.
All my other macro sets should be pretty self-explanatory by their grouping. As far as equipment sets, check FFXIAH. (For my item sets, specifically look at the Cure set, Enfeeble set, and Buffs set. They are my main three WHM sets for most spells.)
