You guys act like the abily to jump will result in this becoming WoW. Jumping is not exclusive to WoW, pointing to it because of JUMPING of all things is fucking moronic.

the OP raises a good point. In FFXI, it's possible to get stucko na fucking -PEBBLE-.

Jumping isn't even one of my concerns for FFXIV, but you "This is FFXI, you should just go play WoW" people are fucking irritating.

Because every game that's involved jumping is WoW. It's been this way for years. Take a look at these screen shots.

If they do, it would probably be like they did with FFX-2 and FFXIII coming up, where you can jump at certain spots like going ontop of boxes or jumping over ledges.

I couldn't careless either way, my concern is how will it change gameplay if it were to be implemented at a different time. Why would you need to jump, what would be the benefit of having the ability? Or would you just want to do it just to do it?

Because people are fuckin lazy and it would take extra calories to roll a joystick to side step a rock. SO much easier to just push a button and hop over it.

FFXIV wont have jumping, and it wont have swimming or climbing, but SE did say they will NOT add jumping later, but MIGHT add swimming/climbing IF they feel it can be used for gameplay later.

I favor jumping, love me sum mario and jumping flash, oh and sonic, good ol platforming action.... dont know why it isnt used more in MMOs, even WoW.

The number of retarded things you can get stuck on in XI really clinches it for me. It wouldn't happen if we could jump, even just a little bit. Either that, or SE needs to make it so we don't get stuck on these things to begin with.
