Fairly new PLD(taru) here. Wondering if you guys could help me out.
I read I should have a loquacious earring for macro in pure haste situations but as it currently stands I had fulltimed HP+ earrings there (intruders/cassie). Was wondering if the difference is enough to warrant the swap, especially since I'm taru.

I recently got my boxers mantle. I had been full timing giants there and now switched it to my idle, with me macroing the boxers only for shield+ situations. I know I needa emnity piece to macro in here for my emnity macro but been lazy. Also, was under the impression I should idle my parade gorget but alot of people go for torque or pcc here instead?

Most importantly: On last mission of shantotto add-on and don't know whether to go the homam leg route(7acc 3%haste) or wlegs route (8%speed 3haste) dont have homam or wlegs(least a year of sky and limbus, linkshell always breaks) but the haste is a given . Which of those two are gonna come in handy more than the other?

I fulltime Avalon and have been using carbonara with acc gear to fuel my atonement spam which has worked out well so far . PLD isn't my main but I have been coming to events more and more often on it so getting most of its merits done.

For Byakko try having a 2nd PLD so you can bounce hate, has helped me a lot than try to solo tank it.

I don't think tarus need to fulltime HP earrings at all. Use the normal setups, Etheral/brutal for Atonement, loquacious/hades +1 for fastcast and emnity etc.

Neck idle piece is situational. If it's something you are swinging at, use a PCC. If it's something like JOL where you stand and cast all day, Idle in parade gorget. There is no fulltime idle neck piece.

The shantoto pants is all up to you, but if you are in a limbus shell and homam is in your near future, probably best not to get the acc/haste pants, and go with the 8% movement. But, 8% movement is not really going to help you that much either. I don't know what you kite these days, but the only thing that is coming up in my mind is omega, and that's a lolfight as it is.

Avalon isn't bad to idle in for most things, since it combines acc and emnity, but to be optimal in every situation, you should be idleing in Hauby +1 and switching to a +5-6 emnity body for JA/spells. Avalon works well for -MDT fights like JOL again, if you have not reached the -25% cap without it. Most people reach the 25% cap quite easily now a days, with Lance (+10%) , askar boots (+2%), merman's rings (+8%) Merman earrings (+4%) etc.

Byakko likes to kill plds, and melees as well. Don't feel bad if you can't keep hate in a short fight like that. I haven't seen a byakko where no-one dies in a while, usually we down him in under a minute, so that much DD all at once is a paladin's nightmare.

Same thing with Jailer of Hope, these short fights just get messy after a bit .

Mix and match your gear for your situation/fight. Have fun

Doesn't matter what you put on your legs either, 7acc 3haste or 3acc 8 movement speed,. It's all replaceable at the end.

I idle in Parade Gorget because if you're fighting something big, most likely you'll be topped off in HP.

Jk, having a co-tank for almost any event is good.... Pld's co-tank better then any other job because of cover and the ability to heal the friend. Rulob, we need to do an event together.
