Everything you've said so far just makes me think that you don't use BLM for much of anything and don't care what your performance is. That's fine, there are a lot of HNM BLMs who gimp by and your gear is much better than most of theirs. However, it's a pretty far stretch to call yourself pro. I'd call you, "well geared for someone who doesn't care about the job" and I'd pity the BLMs that liked the job who you probably outlotted for drops that matter like Sorc Gloves -1.
Especially when you say stupid shit like casting elemental debuffs in your resist gear. In my experience, elemental debuffs are just as accurate as nukes, and you should be aiming to break INT tier on them for more -stat and more DoT. You shouldn't aim to land a weak Burn any more than you'd aim to land a weak Slow.
I guess what I'm trying to get across here is:
If you don't like a job enough to buy it AH gear, then regardless how well you do compared to the other HNM BLMs, you likely aren't pro.
Your right, I don't care about most of my jobs a whole bunch to go so far as to maximize every spell in every situation in every slot of gear. I don't have the space.
I just change to the job that is the best for the situation, or what my LS needs at the moment.
Mainly my BLM is used for ENMs, Sea stuff, and making money.
If you browse my sets on FFXIAH, you will most likely notice that none of my jobs are "gimp" in any way, and that most of the gear is the best for what's needed.
On another note, yes I have a max INT set for burn potency, but I didn't want to post 20 sets in the BLM forums for every single spell/situation. I just had those gear sets saved from an old picture I did a while ago.
