Hi!

I've come back to FFXI after about two years. I am fairly experienced with the game, but after being out of the loop of things (especially with the expansion packs) I've decided to just start over again with a new character and "do it right".

I was just wanting to know if anyone would consider helping me out while I bust through the start of the game again, help with quests and other stuff. I'm not asking to be babysat or to devote all of your time on me, but to consider doing Missions again so I can actually complete the expansion packs (for once..), and maybe get a social LS for me to chatter with people.

Any feed back would be great!

Thank you.

Hit me up in game sometime, I'm in a similar boat and I still need to do a lot of the early stuff.

Look for Taffs, he's currently on Lakshmi but transferring to Asura shortly to start a LS for new/returning players:

I really don't understand the concept of "Doing It Right", if you already have a character with any level or quest or mission progress, throwing that away to start over may not be the best idea. Unless we're talking about a rank2 level 20 WAR... then go ahead and start over. =P

Hence the quotation marks on "doing it right". My old character is gone that's why I am starting over.
....But if you don't understand it then that's okay; it's my choice. :P

If I had a PL the first time, I wouldn't be here! Hahahaha thanks Aust. :)

Starting over because you want to do things differently and "right" a second time around, and starting over because your original character is inaccessible for whatever reason, are two completely different concepts. The communicative failure is by far not on my end. The issue is also not with understanding, if you don't want feedback that doesn't agree with your current plan of action, I strongly suggest not asking for feedback, or even better, not posting.

Alright! :)
You never offered much feedback in terms of helping me out in the game, but I do understand where you are coming from. Yes the communication was a problem on my part, but I figured that people would understand nonetheless on where I am coming from, and not nitpick details.

Thanks anyways for your opinion! My old character is gone and my old character was not at all great. :S In fact, I hopped, skipped and jumped over many things in the game, and had deleted her when I left for college since i figured I'd never come back, figured it was a good way to not be swayed into Final Fantasy 11 again.

But here I am! On my second time round in the game.. I thought that I'd get things done and not have those missing requirements for certain things, you know? Be a more solid character who in time can help other people when asked.

Whats up, I am also starting over as well. I cancelled my account about a year ago with only getting to lv 15 on my mnk. I left for WoW's Wrath xpac what a waste of time ugh!! But I am back and here until XIV, so if you are looking to PT for missions, quests, xp, whatever hit me up. My IG name is Ryven, I should be on tonight I get home around 5P EST. Hope to see you on, later.
