who knows... Remember the Behemoth and the Orcish war machines size in the original FFXI trailer? We saw nothing like that in game. I was really disappointed the first time I saw a behemoth in game.

They have the technology now... just look at FF13 with monsters larger than Jeuno, impressive. they will keep it low at some point because if it gets too big you will need a Gigant Robot to fight it....

I blame the lack of behemoth size to "Ps2 Limitations!"
Their going to blame "PS3 limitations!!" with XIV not having mobs as big as buildings.

Meh, I really don't want big mobs for some reason. I'd rather have stuff that looks weak as shit but is the most deadly thing in the game.
"Oh come on, it's a red orb. What can it do?"
*Red orb hits player for 9999*
"OMFG!"
"WTF! Did you see that!?"
"Get us the f*ck out of here!"
*Black Mage casts escape*

They could very well place blame on some PS3 limitations to a degree but comparing PS2 to PS3 is like comparing a NES (Albeit great sytem) to a XBox. It does have more limitations (When compared to PC Gaming) but the PS3 is a small, high-powered computer with a lot of strong capabilities. It would take a lot for them to hit a limit as far as most designs and graphics go; however I don't think you will see "monsters the size of buildings" because as stated, you would need something equally as big to fight it. I think they're trying to keep it in relative terms of size. 36 people could take down King Behemoth easily and although it wasn't "a size of a building" it was substantially larger than a normal characters model.

Ifrit looks too skinny for me - he needs more muscle. That beastman in the last one looks like a new Quadav to me.

Never been to campaign? If you recall, the original trailer was taken place back during the war, and campaign is set in the same time.

Of course, you didn't get to see them until WotG came out, but that's because times had changed since then.
