Even then, there's no justification for full-timing Osode (I mean, c'mon, Osode is a huge joke on the MNK forums - do you even read anything here?). Also, if not changing your -body- piece is what is honestly keeping you from blinking, then what other pieces of gear are you not switching out? Walahra Turban for Asuran Fists go?

It makes your 8 punches faster, so the monster has less time to block all 8, which in turn means that you land more hits.
