Yes, this good sir would be fine logic lets put in jumping with the possibility of spending more time jumping over the rock due to game physics than just hitting the left or right key.

Why stop at just jumping? Why not add space boots with giant springs in them so we can pretend to walk on the moon? Trampoline festivals?! The ability to crouch so we can play leapfrog while seeking parties?! Or better still, kangaroo mounts!

I wouldn't mind jumping obstacles like in FFXIII though, say, going up some rocky mountain or something like that, as long as it doesn't have a dodgy sequence like the ladders in the the aquaducts in FFXI.

I was looking at a gamescon video now. indeed the game was extremely slow, even slower than FFXI. dont try to blame it on incompetent players who knew nothing, there was also a video of mister Tanaka himself playing FFXIV, and it was even then very slow. and I am sure he knows how the game works.

This guy does sound like sy.ste... He was on my server (Remora) back when he first trolled, now he's appearing on my new server. Still has political based avatars and signatures and called a few others and myself "ice trolls". So now he's cleaned up his typing a bit, but still trolls these forums.
