A third party recently got hold of my account, but luckily I discovered it quickly and contacted SE over the phone where they gave me a new password and I gained access to it. Of course, I logged on to mythikah and the first thing they did was steal my 2.3 million gil ._. I don't think they got anything else because they were locked out of the account so fast, but I faxed in that account restoration paper to get my account reset to an earlier date so I'll have my money back. Has anyone gone through this process before and remember how long it took ? They say one week but I'm skeptical, especially with it being the holiday season ><.
How long does it normally take for account restoration?

Yes I did, can't say much about hacks since I never got hacked before. But I am sure people sait it took roughly around a week or so for it to get resolved.

Still no response :S I really hope they restore it soon. Isn't it hilarious how the people that annoy you (rmt) are lightning fast in their actions, but the people that are supposed to help you (SE) are comparatively slower.

Call every day. Every. Day. Take down names of each rep. If the story changes, scream till you get a supervisor. Get the account locked down if necessary, and harass them daily about the game data recovery. It took mine a month to process simply because the jackass who took my account tried calling in to claim it too. So they waited for him to send in forms. A whole month. Act fast, and don't wait for them to get back to you. SE never does. Call every day.

when i went through that process it was about a week before my account was rolled back and i got access to it again, during that week i heard nothing from SE until i got an e-mail saying that they "investigated" the matter and had completed the game data roll back process

I tried logging in and it says my password is incorrect :S does that mean SE locked it? I really hope an rmt hasnt gotten it again >.<

What Motoh said, the only way to get through them is to bug them. I deal with customer service people everyday and what I usually do is cause a tantrum with the customer service individuals to the point I tell them I want to speak to the supervisor, then when he gets on, I go into my nice mode and act like I am being a victim in this, then he usually feels bad and expedites my claims. This works I would say about 70% of the time.

emailed them the info instead if faxing it this time. Also, I don't see why they asked for photo id when they've never seen what I've looked like before. They don't need that.

Yep you have to send them a notarized form they e-mail you with a copy of a photo ID.

Didn't send them photo id, sent them a card with the name and birth date since there's no reason in hell for needing a pic. They better accept it; if they don't, I'm just gonna get them to unlock my account and play w/ 0 gil... at least I have ~50k in dynamis currency >.>

Once it's frozen I'd be surprised if they will even un-freeze it without the info they are asking for.

Probably cybered with a GM for quick response times and doesn't want to reveal the beard in case they feel violated and delete the account out of shame.

SE made me rescan and send document like 3 times through the mail because they couldn't
read my hand writing on the PoL ID.

Lol.... my mom is still the registrant of the account since I started playing when I was 16 and she doesnt want to send her pic in
