What is wrong with people lately?

Got a party invite. I'm the third member to join.
Sixth member joins. I'm almost at camp, and next thing I know I'm kicked.
Last member doesn't like my job, so he gets lead and gets to kick me.

Why do people just go along with assholes like this?
Stuff like this makes me wonder why I even play this any more.

Shit, its pretty obvious that baku didn't like monks, which is why you were kicked.

On a little more serious note, people kick other people from partys without saying a word because explaining why youre gonna kick someone really doesn't do anything, people are gonna bitch either way.

He was a non-piercing weapon DD.
His problem was that I was the same thing.
If he had a problem he shouldn't have joined the party.

Another reason why I hate the playerbase sometimes x_x lol
Even though you would have worked just fine in the party, people have to be so damn picky...
I mean, I could understand if you were like... (for argument's sake) the 4th dancer in a party, but MNK isn't terrible on birds especially if they're well geared which I assume you are.
The sad thing about exp is that people expect it to be treated as a merit party, not to say that you don't want your exp party to be efficient, because you do! But this is needless to say the least (If that makes sense? It sure sounded a whoooole lot better in my head)

Maybe it's probably best we avoid the dipshit in the future.

Bloody awful would be a more apt description.

Chances are the guy who kicked you had a friend, or a BRD, or a friendly BRD to replace you with. My guess is that your setup was less than optimal, in which case I wouldn't have kicked you. I just wouldn't have joined in the first place.

That's probably what the party leader kept saying to justify their actions. Brutal honesty is the only option because instead of some weepy thread with no facts; we'd either have no thread at all, or a mildly entertaining screenshot of the argument that followed.

I wouldn't lie to you like these two-faced motherfuckers Tiamet, your job really sucks on birds and if I were the party leader I'd at least have had the decency to kick you myself given a viable alternative.

It's a shitty attitude that players have and unfortunately it has never changed and never will change, if anything it has gotten worse, but that is a different discussion. Luckily for you, you won't experience this too often in your exp parties. The best thing to do is just forget about the incident and move on, there will be more exp parties. Also, don't let this event or people on this board discourage you from taking your MNK out to birds; from personal experience I can tell you that I was invited to those parties quite a bit and I did fine, I leveled at a great pace, and I stole hate a few times in the process, and this was on two characters, a Hume MNK and Taru MNK. Just write this one incident off as just another asshole on the server, nothing more.

I won't lie, I've done the same thing when I dual boxed a Bard to help my Samurai through to 75. I remember finding some dumb job, it was probably puppetmaster, and asking the leader to pass me lead so I can get a Corsair. Don't regret a damn thing. It's not like we had left Whitegate either; I was basically doing everyone a favor.

I will probably do the same thing now since my Corsair is nearing the upper 60's and I am tired of shitty DD's on that job.

No, you should be discouraged. I kept the faith when MNK parties used to tear up KRT, staunchly declaring my club wielding THF could match or beat them. Now look at what I've become as a result. It sn't worth it, trust me.

By all means he should take it up if he wants, but the reality is that people will understandably opt for a Polearm-wielding Samurai, a Dragoon, a Ranger, or, dare I say it, a good Thief before they choose a Monk.

I used to merit at birds on Monk, but then my Thief friend would consistently beat me on the parse. If you're ever going to party on Monk, then for both the sake of vanity and efficiency, consider non-piercing targets, such as Mamools at 75, or those crawlers in the late 60's.

If it bothers you that people are this way, you just need to be creative and spread the douchery. For example, I'd have just started seeking on my BRD or COR and after having everyone gathered at camp I'd force a d/c. Sure, it'd be a waste of time for me and maybe even a little bit more of an inconvenience to the party, but the feeling of having made someone else's day a little shittier would make it all worth it. Let's just be real for a second, the world (all aspects of it, real or online) is full of people like that, no amount of bitching or crying will change it...so what's the point? Don't quit a game over it. Don't change the way you play because of it. Complete the circle of life and be a bastard, too. Give 'em hell, kid.

1. You people play with shit MNKs.
2. You make MNKs sub NIN, which further hinders their damage.
3. You people play with shit MNKs.

Damage mitigation is for sissies :3 I find the best exp is when the healer runs out of MP because the DDs refuse to sub /nin.

Thats the double sided arguement alot of people actually try to justify, because they imply MNK's would do sucky dmg and get hate which isn't how the system works. I'd be more worried about the retarded 2h-job players that have little concept of hate control and come anything but /nin. If the MNK's are not causing hate issues I do not see why they could'nt come as anything besides /nin to further benefit the party.

There are 2 options that might remedy the bird problem though.

I'd be more concerned about the party leader telling everyone to sub Ninja, or expecting their DDs to equip terrible weapons in a futile attempt to remedy a non-issue.
