Funny to see all these botters rationalize what they do like they're the only ones capable of downing hnm. New shells wipe because they're smaller, and have little experience with the hnm (since they're almost always claimed by botting linkshells with superiority complexes). It's a shame that people willing to cheat/abuse the system win out in FFXI, but that's how it is till SE figures out how to deal with third party programs better, which will probably be FFXIV, and even then it's not guaranteed. But seriously, get off your high horses since you already sacrificed your integrity for E bodies.

That's hardly my rationalization, it just fuels the fire. And its not about the E.Bodies, its about the people who can't claim and pay you 20 million gil for the E.Bodies :D

Gear, gear, gear - you people are so single-minded. Do you not understand how many loaded idiots there are in this game? Who cares if you don't need a particular item that something drops, there's always money to be made off of it.

And its not boring when you can go AFK until an alarm tells you <insert HNM here> popped.

Following SE's trend, there's no reason to bitch about the current situation becaause it's always been this way and seeing how long it took SE to deal with FFXIAPP, there's never going to be a botting free FFXI until SE changes their approach.

Being in endgame for 4 years and camping the same shit over and over, yes it gets tedious to camp something and lose claim. Of course people will exploit SE's boring system if they know there's little to no reprocussions for it. Most of the people that bitch about this are people that are either new to endgame or feel that the system should cater to them because they're special. The simple fact of the matter is SE's system has caused HNMLSs to find illegal ways around a broken system. If a HNMLS refuses to use exploits, their members are bound to leave for the HNMLS that does claim because people simply refuse to sit at a camp for 3 hours just to watch. Sorry, it's not a justification by any means but that's the way it is; Deal with it, adapt or stfu.

Nah that just simplifies what I was gonna type out basically. Also I never said I didn't care about endgame, I do plenty of endgame events that don't involve HNM and I have fun with it. I simply find it unfair people can't participate in HNM unless they have bots because of people like you. Worse part is you don't even care, its not about oh that person bots so we have to also, its just you wanting to be ahead of people by cheating. The way you brag about it just shows how much of an ass you are. People can complain about this issue all they want, what does it bother you.

Lol, you're an idiot buddy. When did I once brag about it? I said that because of SE's system, people in HNMLSs bot or are almost completely wiped out by the ones that do because the ones that don't will claim one mob every week.

This was your quote:

"Thankfully I dont care for any of that gear, enjoy your boring HNM camping."

So don't act like your the fucking FFXI police or making the world a better place for all the FFXI players. I'm simply stating the way things have been since programmers figured out a way to instantly claim. In the beginning, people wondered why the JP LSs got all the claims, simply because they had bots before the NA players did. When NA players finally got on equal terms, botting became a necessity to stay on equal footing with the competition. It has nothing to do with being ahead because, guess what Junior?, all the large HNMLS that camp on a daily basis bot; So how is that staying ahead of people?

No one said you had to bot to participate in HNM. I already said you simply have to join a HNMLS. Most shells don't require you to have a bot of any sort as long as you have the proper jobs and experience to play them.

And sure people can complain all they want, but when it's a nooblet with one post coming in here because of the injustice of it all, and knowing jack shit about the HNM scene to begin with, all they're doing is throwing a little temper tandrum because things don't cater to them.

Hell I won't even disagree with you that it's unfair but again that's the way it is. It's been this way from the beginning and it will continue to be this way until SE changes the mechanics on how these HNMs pop.

As far as my so called attitude towards the subject is concerned, this may be a game but it's the full spectrum of human emotions that drives it. This includes greed and exploitation by some. If you're not ready to deal with it, unplug your computer from the internet and play something that caters more to your frail perception of how everyone in this world should act.

How am I acting like FFXI police? I simply stated my opinion about it and said its unfair just like almost everyone else feels. Only problem I have is you having to come here and tell people to stfu because you bot and they don't. If you dont care that people complain then why do you hit the reply button to posts like this? Staying ahead of people, do you not see the example in your own post? You bot to STAY AHEAD of people who come there to camp, same reason the others have bots. It may seem equal footing to you because the other HNMls bot there, but you all do it to stay ahead of those that don't bot as well.

Yeah I have a LS that im happy with and I don't forsee myself dropping my friends just to obtain pixels and shiny loot because I don't play this game for that. It is about being able to access that content in the first place, not having to sit there for nothing due to bots. Why would SE care at all if people had this attitude? If nobody cared about botting and just accepted it, the progress to change it would halt. I am only saying keep this as an issue that is all, maybe SE can do something in the future in regards to force pop or what not. You said you didn't care if people complained then stop posting things telling them to stfu.

Unfortunately those type of people are everywhere so regardless of how I want people to act, they will be themselves.

Excatly my point, thank you. Although your opinion on this matter is admirable, you and anyone else that wants to keep this issue alive are 3 years too late. What you see SE doing is the extent of what they will do. With a new MMO release to worry about, how much effort do you think SE will exert to fight a losing battle that's been going on as long as the game has been online? They stopped one programmer who got so blatantly obvious about his activities that they had to do something, nevermind the fact that the guy got rich in the process. All they mustered as far as I know was a cease and desist order against him; no anti hacking programs were implemented. Do you believe SE will personally hunt down each programmer of such hacks on an individual basis?

I told people to stfu if they're not able to comprehend the truth of the matter. I could care less who bots and who doesn't. It doesn't change the fact that because of SE's reluctance to change the system, botting has become deeply engrained in the mechanics of this game; that's the unfortunate truth of the matter regardless of what side of the issue you're on. It's on the same level as someone bitching that life isn't fair because, when it comes down to it, it's mostly the people that inhabit the world that make life unfair; but that isn't changing anytime soon. People will always have ambitions that will supercede someone else's and just because this is a game, doesn't change the fact that some people playing it will continue to act in this manner.

Naturally they would all be the ones shutting off their computers if there was a bot that could steal gil directly from them. Though it would also probably ruin the game since if they didn't quit they're use it themselves. Either way they still choose to do the wrong thing and it makes their accomplishments worthless.

Your comparison is too broad, this is a problem that can EASILY be fixed and it all lies on the hands of the developers and people who are in control of updating this game. Whereas life is in the hands of many not just one or a small group ( developers). This is something that can be fixed and I do believe that even still with a new MMO coming they can put thought towards it. They are even coming out with something new at that vanafest, there is still things they can change for this game it isn't dead.

I don't believe they will personally hunt down every bot maker out there but they are obviously taking some initiative in dealing with the problem by taking out the most popular/commercial one.

100% agree, I think it's shocking that people like you prevent others from camping HNMs because of your lousy, defeatist mentality. Your perception of what bots do is flawed.
