course it could be theory, but looking at the experience calculations on the wiki if you look under enhancing (the first category), it mentions smn buffs yield 0. They could at least just have a cap.

Notice the Exclamation mark? it's unverified. Go test it, not like it would be hard.

Pretty sure from personal experience that buffs give exp.

Summoner buffs do give a little exp, but even if you hit the maximum amount of people it is not worth it.
If you're going to campaign as smn you're better off just having carby out full time send it into a crowd (the bigger, the better) fighting something (depending on how AoE heavy the mob is take out your own staff to whack it for some extra exp) and spam the crap out of HR2.

for best results avoid bastok zones due to lack of AoE's
Yagado are probably best but their AoE Stun drives me up the wall when they use it as BP is executing
If Im campaigning on Smn I usually spend the first half meleeing and using melee/magical BP whilst spamming spirit taker/aspir (make sure to use that strategem that lowers recast and dispel shell beforehand) to keep MP up then once theres only a few mobs left I spam Healing Ruby 2 on PC/NPC and Cure 3

From my findings I dont think I have ever got any exp from avatar buffs. I am always nice though and do the party buffs so people love me and thank me

.
and then one of them pulls 3 mobs ontop of you while your healing MP and "nice" becomes some other 4 letter words with the opposite meaning

pretty sure buffs give exp. minimal i guess, but probably still give some.
I'm not one to buff as SMN in campaign tho. Its more like full out assault and then some AoE healing from time to time. Predator Claws owns the shit out of most mobs. I'm Bastokan too so I tend to stick to Quadavs and they're so convenient to melee along with since they lack AoEs. You just gotta make sure you line your avatar up in front of them whenever Diamond Shell is up.
in other words, probably bullshit, since unverified. but don't bother doing it for the points. do it because you're nice.
