Mass Effect 2, my favorite BioWare game now.

Don't feel like saying much because I will do nothing but talk all day about it.

How is everyone else liking it?

It's freaking great, I really like it. There's a few things that irk me, namely the speed at whic hthe game hurls you into the story, but I really like it. I have it running at 16x antis tropic filtering and everything else put on max and the game is droolworthy and some points.

So did they actually implement the system that reads your ME1 save files to dictate the beginning of the sequel or did they cop out and pull another KOTOR2? (Yes I know they didn't develop it, but it was still their idea.)

They did. It doesn't gradually change how the story in Mass Effect 2 goes, but you keep your same character, some certain bonuses for having a completed ME1 file, and some plots in the story are based off of what you chose to do at the end of ME1 and certain other decisions. But if you do not transfer it from ME1, you are really not missing out on anything, as long as you have a general understanding of the first one, ME2 shouldn't be hard to keep up with at all.

I figured as much, it's nice to know they finally got around to doing something with the idea. Guess I'll play through the original again before I bother looking at this.

I've been playing it non-stop for about 5 hours today. Im really enjoying it. Although i wish i hadn't traded in Mass Effect 1 so i could of imported my character over. I have the blood dragon armor from my DA:O code. Its pretty good armor.

Aside from the retarded mini games they added; this game rocks.

I have absolutely no money so I've been trying to pirate it. Got a no CD crack that doesn't seem to work with my computer. Says I don't have ntdll.dll, but I do. Sigh.

Well I just finished it, this is easily going to be in the top 5 best games this year, and we're still only a month into it.

You'd be guessing wrong. The program still wasn't working when mounting it on say... Daemon Tools. I did get past my prior problem, but Mass Effect still won't run. It apparently is giving me an error message that is currently common with Windows 7 that is coming with the next patch.

Same here, and to be dramatic, that final boss fight had me at the edge of the seat screaming WTF every 5 seconds.

Can't wait till Mass Effect 3 now.

I wasn't as impressed by the final boss. There was no build up to it... He came out of no where. In the first one, there was a bit of personal contact with the reaper himself. This one you didn't even know existed until the last minute of the game. Also, the fight was kinda... surprisingly easily. But that's me.

Still probably my favorite game.
