Greetings Titan- or what's left of it..

i dunno how many of you remember me.. i never made a huge impact on end game life but i was around for a while, i certianly recognize a lot of the names still trolling around here when i did a quick read thru of the Titan forum. FFXI forums still make me crack up even after like 3 years of not playing you guys are the funniest fuckers i've ever known.. which is kind of sad. anyways moving on.. so with the upcoming release of XIV.. i was wondering if any of you bastards are making plans to reunite in game for the next adventure. What are the odds they'll make server names the same and we can all meet back in Titan again, if not we can meet up in some new pre-designated world. Spamming character creation til you get Titan sounds like old school fun to me. So if anyone remembers me or not and wants to meet up gimmie a shout.

Also on a sad note.. my best friend irl, and in game mentor, Muunshadow passed away recently, it's in part of his memory that i want to play again. So if any of you were fans of his feel free to contact me and we can chat about the good ol days. I'm hoping to get ahold of his old computer someday soon and might make an appearance on ffxi under his name if i can find the codes.

People we knew back then that i'm not still sure are around: Drizztduden, Station, Hinatsama, Darkifrit, i'm sure many more but can't think of them now.

I'm planning on hitting up 14 so we'll see what they do with world names etc. as it draws near. I havent played in several months, but last I did I recall doing a Soboro run with Drizzt so he's still there.

I recall your name as well, but man it has been a long time. Sorry to hear about Muun, and hope to see ya in FF14.

OMG Stokie !!! what up man !! jesus it's been forever.. you'll always be stokie to me, i remember thinkin you'd give up on batman an come back to stokie.. he was a taru right and you wanted to be a big galka or somethin for a while.. i forgot how many friends we all had in that game back then.. furi,durst and xer good to see ya. tell emobi i said what up too ! Ya i remember i think EliteZ/X were my first dynamis shells, as we slaved away for irt's mandau. was good shit tho.. Station pops up in one of those pics too, man me an that kid used to shit all over each other was hilarious..anyways.

So ya ffxi was my first mmo too, i tried a few others with muun, lolLotR, age of Conan, wow for like 2 minutes but i knew we wouldn't like that from before we started.. i always like ffxi man, i liked everything about it. the story, the characters, the grind, how fuckin hard EVERYTHING always was.. i liked that you had to work so hard to get anywhere.. i mean we all bitched a little bit but we kept playin right. At first i was worried that 14 wouldn't live up to the hype but now i've got a new problem weighin on my mind..

And it's prolly pretty noobish of me to complain about, but i just read a buncha old ass BG and KI forums from late 08 to just last month about some programs called NASA and FFXI-APPS. I think maybe apps was in use around my time can't remember.. I know we all used windower and some TPparty or something back then an i know people that fish botted an shit. I think modding was just coming out back then, packet sniffers and dat changing, some pos hacks an map hacks but it was all pretty hush hush and nobody admitted to bein a botter/hacker, nor was it on the pro level like it seems to be now. And now it seems like the end gamers are more like I R the Leet Hacker.. and that's all the game has come down to, who can claim bot, pos hack, PL bot quad box, or craft bot better then the next guy. No one wants to do any of the hard stuff.. it was bad enough against RMT's an JP's i dunno if i wanna get involved in another world that's just gonna be filled with a buncha cheaters.. Even if the excuse is everyone's doing it. I was hoping to play a fun honest game for a while before it got corrupted but i'm startin to think that's never gonna happen an ima tool for QQ about it all. any thoughts.. not tryin to start a flame war or nothin. (btw Titan never poked it's head up on any of the forums and i saw some list that had Titan on the bottom 3 of the Apps users per of server)

aww xer- i see ur char got hit with the Bhammer, sorry to hear, u dupin salvage? i never figured out how that worked from readin the forums.

@Jade: Yea, I got banned duping Salvage drops along with a bunch of other OG Titan ppl. It's probably for the best that you never figured out how to do it lol. Wolfegang hooked me up with a new acct and I now play on Seraph. As far as botting/3rd party programs, unfortunately you're going to encounter it in almost any MMO game. I'd be surprised if FF14 is an exception in that regard.

i love how af1 and SH are the only two options for monks back then that couldn't get there hands on osode or s. togi. ie most of us. Those were the days man.. i think if they did a server wide reset i'd be tempted to play again from scratch... mm maybe not but maybe.. PS- I miss mpk'ing the sh*t outta people camping serket tryin to get my first SH or Serk Ring.. does anyone even wear those anymore ever ?!

Lmao, MPK'n at Serket, I so remember doing that shiz. Funny as hell it was! Good question tho, does anyone wear SH anymore. If I were to guess I'd say yea probably lol. Oh I should reinstall and play the new account I got and gave up on at lvl 19 lol. It just wasn't the same....

You thinkin about moving on to 14 with the rest of us..
