My wife & I (along with a friend of ours) have done this blasted fight over 50 times now. Beyond having the worse luck on this planet (only 3 PCC's have ever dropped), we've run into something completely different tonight.

We do this BC with me as Blu, my wife as Nin and our friend as Rdm. Tonight, when we "attempted" this BC twice, my wifes elemental wheel would only do 7 points of damage each spell (compaired to 72+ EVERY other time we've done this).

Has anyone ever encountered this or could potentially explain what the hell happened to us tonight. Needless to say we failed both runs.

Haven't run into it. Been a while since I've done it myself though.

Is she using Ni or Ichi? Ichi is worthless.
What sub is she? I always use BLM or RDM for MAB and INT.

Actually Phlow...

First off, thanks for replying. I kept reading different things about this fight to see if anything would give me a clue about what the hell was different this time around. And someone talking about Ni spells prompted me to look at the log files on my PC to see what spells my wife was casting (I wasn't paying attention to the chat log all that much as I was focused on trying to compensate for the drop in dmg output). And, low and behold, she was casting Ichi spells. On Sunday I helped her and one of our dynamis ls mates do Shadows of the Departed as they had just beat Storms of Fate Saturday night. She went Nin and had changed her elemental wheel macros to Ichi for the promy climbs. That was the last time (until we went in to do this BCNM) that she used Nin and obviously forgot to change her spells back.

So, mystery solved and lesson learned.

Now, it's back to kicking these things butts like always and hope that our luck gets better with the drops.

I can't see NIN possibly needing even 4 sets worth of macros. Perhaps next time she needs to use ichi spells instead of NI spells, she should replicate her current macro set onto an empty one and change the Ni spells to Ichi there.
