Hello everyone. Since the 2-part Winter '09 update, I've talked to many different people about the various interesting contents/systems introduced but I've found one thing in common--and that is that most people find it very confusing and/or not worth their time.

So I wrote most of this guide about a month ago, but didn't have time to finish it until yesterday. At this point, I think there's still a lot of valuable information I've compiled there, in one convenient place, with a lot of explanation as well as links to various helpful sources. What content/systems am I talking about? That would be,

If you're interested in any of this content but are baffled by it, or don't understand the connection between the new NM's, Synergy, 'Ebon' Gear, and Evolith, I hope that this clears up some of that confusion. I've covered step-by-step how to upgrade ebon gear or aern weapons from start to finish; (1)from getting the 'base' version -> (2)to getting and synergizing the aptant -> (3)to getting and synergizing the pigment, including (soon) strategies for all of those fights -> (4)etching/HQ'ing and understanding the apertures in your equipment -> (5)and finally to finding/using evolith.

The only information that I couldn't/didn't/haven't covered yet would be strategies for Scylla and Oupire, Pixie NM's, and information about Aptant NM's. This is mostly because I reached the text limit allowable for a single LJ entry, but I'll likely link to another post later.
