Sorry if this has been discussed already. I looked back a bit didn't see any headings that were specific to this. Besides this forum has been so dead lately we could use a little activity

I just got back from about a year and a half break from the game a couple weeks back. Got my rdm to 75 and my blm has been 75 since i can remember. I have been around since the US release back in 02-03ish something like that. Been a long time.

With that said i just got into a new Dynamis LS and they want me to come as blm to it. So to get back into the hang of things me and another taru sch friend of mine went and hit up the pudding camp for a while last night. I came as Blm/Rdm and he came as Sch/Rdm. His gear was about as good as it can get i think the only thing he was missing wass a novio earing. My gear was well last weaks trash basically.

So when we started getting some small chains in i would go OOM after 2 puddings, while he would still be at full MP after 2 from sublimation. So after all that said would it be worth me leveling sch for duoing/mana burning to sub? Last sunday i leveled it from 1-22 and im sure i can do 22-37 in a night so it wouldn't be to time consuming, but is it worth it? I understand that /sch doesnt have stoneskin or blink or any of the self buffs but i figured if im with my sch/rdm friend he can buff me and we can keep our chains high.

P.S. how's everyones day gaing?? Can we please bring some life back to the Blm forum?

blm/sch is beast, but not when you're soloing/lowmanning. if you can find a fight besides khim where you dont need SS/phalanx/blink, then /sch is nice. otherwise you just suck and cant keep up MP. i kill puddings in 3 nukes solo and have about 200ish MP on blm left.
td;lr: just sub rdm and manage MP better

/Sch is fantastic at tiamat, even more so than at khim because at tia you are chain nuking and the more nukes you can get out of your pool the better. But yeah, if you are going to be in aoe range, or having to tank/kite /sch isnt great. I also used /sch when trioing LBC in salvage, would have really struggled with any other sub (especially on the first floor)

BLM/SCH is mainly for places when you are in a team environment where you do not have to worry about taking damage. I would never use blm/sch duoing or soloing puddings. mistakes happen where you can get almost oneshoted. if your unlucky it will melee you to death.

what you described is the issue of blm in the current state, I would rather play SCH/RDM to kill stuff like puddings. The only thing i can say is make sure you aspier, have a HMP set, and use IV nukes only.
I have 2 chrs, one is a blm with a sorcs ring trigger and the best you can get minus morr robe and morr pants. I have a SCH in decent gear, not the best, not the worst that outdamage my own nukes on ebullience casts.

I like nuking and i love blm, but unless i need blm to stun and nuke, i would rather nuke being SCH. on my self it is level 60, i want to get it to 75 on my self after seeing the damage my alt does -.-
