So I am relatively new to DRK and looking for advice on earrings. I currently using Cassie and Brutal Earring for WS's, I can not afford to buy Triumph Earrings for quite some time.

I mainly use GS so I am guessing Brutal Earring is not the best way to go (I could be horribly wrong).

Is there any financially friendly better alternatives I should be looking into getting?

Brutal is a great earring and should be used nearly all the time.

The only exception being when using a multi-hit weapon (m.kris/k.club/ridill)

Not really, cause if he can't get a triumph and he's using Gswd, any other str+1 earring is a side grade.

I'd be lying if I said I had any math to support this, but I'd highly advise against Brutal on GS WS unless your meleeAcc is pretty much capped. People tend to throw accuracy to the wind when dealing with 1-hit WS(as they should be), which means even in the event of a DA proc, you've got a fairly high chance of missing.

I would use brutal earring for tp gain, and a str+2 earring for WS swap, or assault earring. I luv macros...so I usually put brutal on for fast tp gain (drk hits slower than most other DD jobs so....) then some stat boosting earring on WSs, then swap back.

Maybe it's just me, but at lower levels w/o haste gear/spells scythes seem to take forever to swing and missing feels like a punch in the crotch.

No back in the day a DRK would spam engage and disengage and swing faster then the other DDs with 0 haste gear.

The only three earrings you'll ever need.

Great sword benefits from the Accuracy in Assault Earring (1% increase) if i remember correctly i haven't posted on these forums in over a year a i think =x plus i quit sooo..

and the double attack is just something you can't pass up. you could slot Fowling earring, but i personally saw better results from the attack than i did the strength.

Talking about earrings... has anyone tried that Aesir earring from Odin.

Dunno how frequent or strong is that "Conserve TP" to make it reliable. Have anyone tried it? Dunno how this would work as 2nd earring (Brutal being the firsts) for GS and Scythe WSs.

yes scythe totally blows until 60. Gsword is marginally better (powerslash isn't terrible..)

thats what i did, i went Gaxe, > duel axes 56-59 then scythe at 60
