To all you veteran SAM's out there, what was the toughest, meanest, most intense fight/mob you have ever soloed? Starting it off a few of mine would be double dragonian bc after seeing useugi solo it, (haven't quite got there on ODS) sewer syrup, and tyrannic tunnok. There were lots of others but those were the harder ones. Hoping to see if there have been any successful solo attempts on something I have either tried and failed on or hope to fight. Oh and none of this "Why would you want to solo ODS when you can just get 6 people" stuff, being able to solo things not meant to be soloed is one of the few things in this game that seperate the elite from the noobs. Have at it guys.

I solo'd Rukenshin, Darkwill, and Vincentius (back when he was VincentValentine) at the same time once...i must say they put up a good fight.

Most likely because SAM isn't exactly an excellent soloer and there's only a limited amount it can do. Not to mention there's not much to talk about spamming a third eye macro and curing waltz2/drain samba2 where appropriate.

I think double drg is about the only thing that only SAM can solo, and there's a fair chance I'm wrong.

SAM is a crappy soloer. Anything I can solo on SAM is what I consider 'low risk' in the first place. I've soloed things like Bune on NIN... but that's not exactly the question. When I'm approaching a solo, the first thing that pops in my mind is not SAM. Probably the most interesting thing you'll hear of a SAM soloing is Pulling the Plug. If you don't want your thread derailed, don't start one with a silly question.

Just because you think SAM is a crappy soloer doesn't mean this is a "silly question". No, SAM is not anywhere close to nin and rdm when it comes to soloing 95% of the things in this game, and yes I do have all 3 of them 75 to know that to be true. What I am trying to get at is there is a difference in being able to solo something on SAM as oppose to the said jobs, if by nothing else than your own words "SAM is a crappy soloer." If anyone were to say they soloed genbu on rdm people would be like, meh big deal been done before, but if someone were to have done that on a job like war or sam they would have been like wow thats pretty damn good. I'm sure there are skilled SAMs out there that are true MAIN sams that have tried to push the limits of SAM solo-ability and were able to solo things that no other sam had before. This isnt a thread about what other jobs can do or solo, its about what SAM can do, and if you don't think you've soloed anything hard enough on your SAM to post on here then simply don't post, not too hard is it?

Seriously though, SAM's a bit difficult to do anything on. I'd say Pulling the Plug was the hardest thing I've done, but I've also done Hoar-knuckled Rimberry, which was pretty difficult, but I survived. Gotta love Soboro and /DNC. Doesn't use a TP move, just whoops your ass since it's a NIN.

It is a silly question. Anyone who's been around a while and hasn't leveled another job besides SAM by now is an idiot. Anyone who'd not an idiot is clearly going to approach risky situations with the best possible tools for the job. SAM is not that tool on anything interesting / noteworthy.

I could care less if you don't read another post, you obviously didn't read my first post when I said none of this "why would you wanna solo it when you can get 6 people to do it the easy way" crap. And yes I do think someone that accomplishes something the "Hard Way" is impressive because they had enough skill and determination to do it alone. You like to throw around the fact that just because I think that or that some people don't wanna level another job to 75 is idocy, in which I could really care less because its nothing but your own stupid opinion. Oh and yes this is another "giant block of ramble" so as it may be to difficult for you to read or comprehend, again, I could really care less.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...but telling people not to derail your thread or to start their own damn thread...using phrases like "I could care less" and all that other good stuff, only makes the thread derail even further because you've proven yourself not worthy of being given a straight answer.

I couldn't care less, I solo shit on SAM CONSTANTLY.
